What do you hope vs expect from 3.25?

Tbh I'm hoping for more nerfs I want this game to actually be hard again. I wouldn't mind my builds getting nerfed as long as the top meta builds got nerfed very hard. Lets make the game an actual challenge again where only the best of the best can do end game maps. I know it's not a popular take though lots of people want to undo the nerfs and make the game easy mode free loot simulator.
I hope for some underused skills to be straight damage buffs.

What would surprise you in a positive way that GGG could do that would be bare minimum to boost your own retention through another four month league?

Or, hopefully a league mechanic I can skip if I choose.

+1

Another non-skippable league mechanic would be a nonstarter for me.
8 mod maps are the new alch and go.
A fun and potentially powerful crafting mechanic. Sentinel is still the best for me since it was fun to interact with.

Delete T17 maps.

what could be more powerful than the current grave crafting tho?
Both harvest and recombs were way less powerful than the current literal item editor.

A league mechanic that lets you just grab whatever mods you want? at best even already quadruple elevated items on synth bases, fractured so you have a triple or quadruple influenced item potentially even with eater and exarch influence on top for sextuple influenced items?
Nah thx, artificial power creep needs to go, game has lots of good crafting methods after all.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

A big nerf in player power as the power creep is just crazy even for the new t17 maps.
Also Kopogero taking part of the early HC ssf ladder race hoho

I'm not against nerfing the player.

But it's a bad idea to ask for nerfs in general.
GGG always overnerfs things that are already weak and the insanely strong builds barely notice the difference(oh 1.5 seconds more to kills the boss!!!)
What I expect:

- T16 and below drop rates will still be a joke regardless of atlas or juicing combo
- Most of the top builds from 3.24 will be brought down and a few (non-melee, non-minion) other choice builds will take their place to which GGG will decree "see everything is fine"
- monster and boss damage will still be ludicrously overtuned across the board
- defenses like auras will be further gutted with no compensation
- gladiator, assassin, berserker, etc. will still be a laughable "you die in a stiff breeze" joke
- melee will still be ludicrously dependent on good weapon drops with no deterministic NON-HORRIBLE way (ie. not graveyard crafting) to obtain them
- things will still repeatedly kill you from offscreen because "it's not intended for you to see that much of the gameplay field" (their words from another thread)
- game will still require year 2025-2030 quality hardware to run 2010-2012 era graphics on low settings at a decent framerate
1+ A bridge "lore league" to PoE2, with some perks in the new game as challenge rewards to hook peps.

2+ The reveal of the mistery of the easter egg that nobody discovered in 10 years; albino roa feather, krillson, fishing rods and how all this shit interacts to DO something. We deserve it.

3+ Me to drop a mirror after 10 years of playing, just to put in a curio display and show it to da kitties when they come to my shack.
With teaser out, hopes:
-Ward actually being good for more than wardloopers.
-good new soundtrack from Kamil.
Expectations-
-a good chunk of lore.
Hoping for:
melee buffs
Gladiator/Assassin rework
addition of some different defensive auras (why isn't there a suppress or ward aura?)
rework/rebalance of underutilized skills (although that's the hope for every league) - additionally look at expanding on skills that are only usable while wielding weapon x/y/z
