And honestly, PoE could only *dream* of the sort of narrative immersion that justifies something like pronoun definition. Then again, it doesn't need it so eh. I do think that WOULD be overkill. On the other hand, it could well be another way in which it stands out beyond the hardcore/devoted ARPG crowd. " Well that didn't age well. I 100% agree, 2024 and we still have gender locked classes mostly because budget. Tarisland which is an upcoming mmorpg said they are starting working on losing the gender locked classes and even Last Epoch said that they have gender lock in their eyesight to be removed... " saints row 3 also had a "dong slider" tho it was hilarious as the dong was mosaiced same with female parts. you could adjust the boob slider and go naked but the offending bits are covered. speaking of conan exiles, i think GGG should allow the option to remove the cannon backstory for all POE2 characters but instead make it like conan exile, where on start the exile has the crimes they committed randomly generated at the beginning of the game. my first conan exile was said to have done some sexual acts towards animals or something i forgot. i remember LOL IRL when i read it. you could also manually type in and change your crimes. it changes nothing mechanically but adds flavour. GGG if you're reading this, please do this. its the new minimum bar! i checked the wiki, heres the list for anyone interested.
