Why people complain about MF Party that much?

MF is a penality on gear while increasing a bit loot quant & qual. This sure is getting broke when you only have to cull with it... But years ago in POE we had public parties where like 1/6 of players had a cull build, specifically for these parties, killing act 1 Merveil or act 3 Piety bosses in merciless difficulty.

These times were great and "MF" was pretty cool. It's all over and now you may have to join a guild for this, but it will always be with the same people.

So I think it should simply be capped with a diminishing returns formulae (ie: "150-200"% rarity and "40-50"% quantity max) while absolutely being divided by the amount of players in the area.

You acknowledge that removing MF will flatten the curve and then you go on to claim that it won't change anything. By your own admission you are wrong, the issue is not that party play can be better, it always will be. The issue is that currently optimized party play allows people to break the economy the same way bug exploits like endless ultimatum or sanctum mirror duping did but won't get them banned as they will often make more in a single session than even a fairly dedicated player will in an entire league and that gives them an enormous amount of power to set prices, which thus drags many high value items entirely out of reach of solo players unless they get very lucky.

MF becomes an issue when it´s the single best thing to do in the entire game. Last league everyone could be MF´ing and everything was fine with everybody.
This league though not everybody was able to MF in t17.
On top of this we had some degenerated exploits going on that resulted in 10mirror/day scenarios.
Would people be complaying if these exploits never happened? Surely less would be complaining.

Personally I think MF should never feel mandatory and I do think that the past two leagues the game moved in a really bad direction. The loot overhaul is way too much.
I feel like PoE turned into something Reddit wanted it to be. But Redditors were too bad to be on par with the exploiters and are now complaining about missing out.

From my point of view it would be fine to get rid of group quant and I´d also be fine if they nerfed droprates in super juiced endgame by even half IF they increase drops in the base game without any quant or MF.
