Why people complain about MF Party that much?
" It seems that the same groups dominate the economy every league start. I don't think this happens in other games like Last Epoch, Diablo 4 and Torchlight Infinite. Something to think about. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go.

They should ban players who play more than 4 hours per day because its not fair for the players who play less than 4 hours per day. They have more rewards because they play more, really unfair.
| |
" And why are people allowed to run 30 maps per hour if I can only run 10 in the same time? Those people should have a cooldown for when they can open a new map to bring them in line with slower builds!! /s The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
|
|
Unironically, they should do a bogus league where the rules change all the time to afflict better players and boon the bad players, see how bad everyone gets.
| |
People who've never invested in MF, see those who have invested heavily, and have also played the game for a decade, band together, and push the most ridiculous 6-man strategies each league can offer. They see what 60 years of combined experience and knowledge provides and how iiq+iir contributes to drops, and they then take a 5 second snapshot of 3 months' worth of that and say
" I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

" I don't think you understand the game enough, running in a party without MF isnt worth, the loot increase isnt worth enough to be running in a party, we are talking about a 100% loot increase when you have 6 players in a party, when youre running normal maps with normal builds its unefficient, and running maps "for fun" is pointless when you will be stuck at the same point because you cant upgrade your build cause one friend picks up 10 chaos, and another picks up 2, i mean if you want to run maps for fun, you do you nobody is stopping you |

Party MF breaks the trade economy entirely due to aurabots and MF cullers, the bonus iiq and iir from partying is just even more absurdity on top. The solution, which GGG will never go for because they love magic find for some unknown reason is to entirely delete the magic find stats from the game and significantly boost all drop rates to make up for it. It would flatten the utterly outrageous difference between party MF strats and literally everyone else by quite a bit.

" Wishful thinking......those parties would STILL make 100s of times more currency than you and we would be right back here complaining about parties, just without the fun scapegoat that is "mf". Parties will always perform better than solo players, and receive more loot. That is the nature of party play in a loot-based game. A well-oiled team that can pool resources and loot can multiply this effect exponentially with or without mf in the equation. You are right it will flatten the curve.....but not nearly enough to stop ANYONE complaining who is already complaining about party loot. Plus.....comparing a specifically designated mf party to a regular player is comparing apples to oranges: a more appropriate comparison would be comparing an mf party to an mf solo player. And removing mf......doesn't change this in the slightest. Last edited by mefistozxz on May 18, 2024, 12:03:09 AM

You acknowledge that removing MF will flatten the curve and then you go on to claim that it won't change anything. By your own admission you are wrong, the issue is not that party play can be better, it always will be. The issue is that currently optimized party play allows people to break the economy the same way bug exploits like endless ultimatum or sanctum mirror duping did but won't get them banned as they will often make more in a single session than even a fairly dedicated player will in an entire league and that gives them an enormous amount of power to set prices, which thus drags many high value items entirely out of reach of solo players unless they get very lucky.
