anyone have less than 5 keybinds on their mouse?
I left-click to walk & right-click for Blood Rage.
Everything else is on my keyboard. I am not Anti-Social, I am just selective on whom I wish to be social with.

" This. I use LMB, RMB and MMB. I really don't like using the keyboard at all. 1 key is often life. E key is my most used defense W additional defense If I try to use more, I just end up hitting random keys and making a mess. Automated flasks has been a huge win for me. Mageblood even bigger. i hate "piano" playstyle..... always makes build that need max 4 buttons to click (2 mouse + 2 keyboard).
learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.

" you've got to be kidding. not using rmb for primary attack but for a buff that continuously reups itself in battle? you are kidding. I get it now. very few people use their extra buttons. and cobalt: I actually like the piano style. both my right and left hands spend the whole time pianoing. the mouse hand is usually doing more than the left tho. sometimes a lot more. whoever else: I expected that most people being right handed would lead to more reliance on the right hand than the left, but it seems like precise continuous movement and primary attack is of the utmost importance to most, and they exclude any extra duties that could distract from this. I believe my movement precision is degraded by the extra duties I assign to my mouse hand... but I strongly feel that the overall quality of my mechanics is increased significantly in the extra load. like I dont misclick and die because I use my side buttons and scrollwheel left/right buttons. I "feel" like it works better for me. Others "feel" like training on their extra mouse buttons is probably a waste of effort that wont result in much benefit, and probably would degrade their overall mechanics. I will state a fact: practice and repetition always results in improvement. I have spent years delegating to my dominant hand. In pretty much all real-time games I play... arpg/rts/fps so it does work for me. let me assure you all. |

" I always play a totem build. I use my "Q" button to cast totems. "W" for Frenzy. "E" to dash. "R" has debuff for bosses. As I only have to cast it once. I do not think my blood rage renews. I keep having to cast it. The Totems do all the damage, I do nothing. If I try other builds, you are correct, I will usually put my primary attack on the RMB. EDIT: I guess I should mention I am left-handed. I am not Anti-Social, I am just selective on whom I wish to be social with. Last edited by Ahewaz on Mar 21, 2024, 2:45:59 PM

Not in PoE. I do use 4 of them in WoW, but my thumbs don't naturally use the tip to press buttons, it's the knuckle (hitchhiker's thumb gene!), so for me Razer Naga etc-style mice don't work out. I have left, middle, right, and then 2 on the side, but I only use the one more towards me rather than farther. No idea why, but here we are lol
Additionally I usually have v long acrylic nails and that 100% eliminates the mega side button mice even if I DID naturally push with the tip of my thumb. So yeah - for me, PoE is LMB/MMB/RMB, QWERTY, and then 12345. I put set-and-forget buffs on ctrl-QWERTY. I want to rock right meow

Yes. Far less.

I use 2 side buttons for fast reaction skills, that's all.
I think I don't even know anyone that plays with more than that. |
