GGG disguised the massive nerfs as these ''new gems''

Dont think anyone is trying to take away your opinions OP

Pretty much have all the answers to your issues already in several posts. If you dont want to try any suggestions that's fine as well.

Would just move on if the game is this unenjoyable for you, rather then these odd cope replies I am seeing. ARPGS have a few options,

I'd recommend D4 for you.
Mash the clean
it's true that everything is nerfed, but we have charms and stuff to be even stronger than we could ever be. ggg went all in on borrowed power, and we'll probably see more next league. until then, nothing is really nerfed, so no point complaining about it until we get a league with no borrowed power

Transgems are supposed to replace three different mechanics. Threshold jewels, alt qualities and helm enchantments. All of that was removed and instead we got trans gems. It's beyond obvious to anyone with a brain that this can only end up as a massive nerf overall. Some of the trans gems are actually quite good but the cost is way too high and impossible to compensate for.

That aside, it's nothing new. GGG talking about "reworks" when they mean nerf has been common practise for years now and most of the community is aware of it.
They have done this for a while: Nerfing/balancing the core, while giving us new, temporary power creep every league, be that sick mirrored rings from Kalandra, Crucible trees, tattoos or charms/tinctures. They have also given us "permanent" power creep with OP unique items like Original Sin, Adorned, That Which Was Taken, Ralakesh and so on.

I don't mind the direction. There's always new things to discover/take advantage of every league, and there's less power creep piling on, delaying another "Expedition nerf league".

The power level this league is immense, so I don't really see the need to scream "nerf".
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
tried couple of them and they were bad.

like for example this wild strike of extremes. youre pretty limited on what chars you can play with it and i can get same dps with other gems.

never did i run lab for profit but i like having those helmet enchants... and the boot ones were pretty good too - no stun, penetration and stuff. never did run heist either but did like alt qual gems too.

they shouldve improved the old systems instead replacing it with a new one that doesnt do anything in most cases. like im playing smite and for whatever reason i lose dps from the trans gem. couldnt we instead just give me +3 strike targets for free?

kaom glove rekt, heatshiver nerf, ashes is horrible(not that i ever used it even before but wtf man...)

But hey. Who knows. maybe its something else. From thin air maybe

TLTR: You've seen someone else getting more loot and your fomo kicked in. Gotcha

You probably didn't bothered to account the fact that those players likely run higher juiced maps than you do and also make proper use of the league mechanic.
You kinda gave it away earlier with your "No, you don't have to run around like a headless chicken in the dark." statement that you don't really use the league mechanic properly at all or don't know how it works. hoho

No friend no.
As i said. Ive ran MF maps and ive got loot. I have mostly ran t16 MF.
The point is its boring and dumb.

I agree; MF is dumb.

Luckily, you don't need it in PoE; never have, probably never will. This misinformation/"fake news" floating around that you need MF is really hurting the game. I have a Mageblood, several hundred divines and I've made several builds this league, and haven't equipped MF items on any of them, other than some testing.

Wisps are 846265 times more effecttive than MF gear. Sure, MF gear helps, but if anyone uses the words "needed" or "required", they are just factually wrong.

The problem with MF in POE is the lack of a balancing factor. Players can easily outscale content by leaps and bounds DPS wise. After a certain point there is no loss in clear speed when you swap in MF gear which means at that point using MF is strictly better than not using it making it "mandatory".
What? The opposite if anything. New gems = new builds. People have made builds that are effective with the majority of the new gems.
I think what you are suffering from is the league ceiling and watching too many streamers.

The only reason why some skills feel weak in comparison to before, is because you are slamming them into the steel wall that is 10k wisps. Run a few maps without the league mechanic. Hell, amped up to 11 maps, just without the league mechanic. Whoaaa suddenly everything gets obliterated.

What the new league mechanic gave us, is the ability to scale content we previously could not scale anymore. It added a looooot of potential scaling on top of what we already have. And for some reason a lot of players think that everything should be viable no matter how far you push it. It just does not work that way.
The odd bit is that for some reason the players know that in delve you will eventually need specialized builds, extremely niche ones. But nobody complains how 99% of the skills are not viable for delve. They are, just not at extreme depths. Same with the current skills. Most are perfectly viable, unless you throw them into 8 mod delirium + beyond maps with a wandering path setup + 8k forest wisps... What a shocker.

Hard to disagree with most of that, but I've never felt that "mandatory" part.
