And price of Feared set is calculated in that 50c budget
I'm pretty sure you can make a decent starforge / atziri disfavour cyclone build with the new cyclone gem.

Pure melee will still be worse, physical even worse.

But i think cyclone of tumult and flicker strike can do well with the right gear.

Paradoxica is also good for huge pure physical damage.

But overall pure melee, while it can be decent, will stay the worse playstyle if you focus pure efficiency

bone shatter jugg is a real beast.
learning is a painful process ... knowledge is the most deadly weapon.

there's not a single archetype in this game that's not viable for endgame. melee is just more mechanically demanding than others, might require more gear to work, and has an annoying playstyle.

melee has never been bad, it's just worse than everything else so there's not much reason to play melee
melee phys builds, I like to play
Ground slam of earthbreaking + warcries + zerker
Rage vortex(bugs on uneven floors, so kinda meh) + bladestorm/sunder + zerker
Earthshatter + warcries + zerker (<- imho best)
Shieldcrush + crit + slayer/jugg


I wonder if the new perforate of duality is any good, didn't pob it yet.

You could most likely play budget scuffed version of armor stacker shield crush on jugg (formless flame) and yoink tasalio or valako(depends if you scale it via overcapped fire/cold or both) from chief with forbidden flesh/flame. Main issue -> you cant go CI if you wanted to use emperor's vigilance. You would need crafted evasion/es shield or just go non-crit impale, tho I don't know what dmg it would end up doing. It is something I started buying experimental gear for this league, but gave up on SC trade and went into private leagues.
GGG remove ancestral totem buffs and buff base gems instead. It is annoying to have to press:

4 warcries, totem, berserk, banner, bloodrage, focus, curse to cast a slam

result: 1/5th of normal build damage and 1/4th of POB dps for slam build in real scenario.
100m dps seems like a fairly meaningless benchmark tbh. 1/4 of that is enough to trivialise the hardest uber bosses in the game. its just purely number porn it doesnt actually have any relevance to gameplay imo.
