PoE 2 dodge
" Awkward... xD " I really don't see the point of these : mine has two, but I only rarely use them : in situations where the combat isn't too intense and my pointing doesn't need to be precise (like Raise Zombies). IMHO 2nd hand on keyboard is way better in the other cases. |

Dodge roll sponsored by lost ark, in both cases for D4 and PoE2 hoho
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Jan 20, 2024, 3:42:56 PM

It's funny/sad, but you can see in PoE Too all the games Jonathan Rogers preferred to play rather than PoE, itself. How awful must it have been to have helped create a game you came to disdain for what it wasn't? ='[.]'=

" (It's also in D3, but console-only, so not sure it counts ?) ---- One of the RPS comments also pointed out how WASD movement is a huge change (except for the most casual gameplay I guess) : without it you cannot move in a direction while facing a different one ! ("strafing", but not only to the sides) This will have big ramifications for the games, probably especially for boss design... but maybe also for player skill design, we might see "slow turret" skills (where it takes a while before the "turret" - distinct from movement direction/impulse - has turned, and can fire in the direction you've been pointing towards) on players too ? |

" I mean, I agree with you but to touch on his pont... I have really bad arthritis and it's the reason I don't play FPS games (on PC) or things like MMORPGs anymore. I just can't handle it. I understand not everyone is in the same boat but there are those of out there that can't play those types of games. |

I guess you still play PoE with mouse and keyboard though, I'm not even sure which system gives more strain. Aiming with mouse in an isometric game, I'd say it's gentler that traditional point click all around the screen.

" Not really though, if a game is playable on a controller, then it's manageable for every healthy individual. |
