PoE 2 dodge

First, congratulations on having the nerve to innovate and go for wsad movement for PoE 2. I wasn't really sold on the universal dodge, but after the wsad announcement, it all fell into place. It also makes the split of PoE and PoE 2 make more sense, and more positive, I love 1 for zoom but I'd also love a proper action game with a deep rpg element. I only hope that it's a proper implementation, not hampered by the classic click movement and something in the middle, without forced auto aim etc.

Anyway what I wanted to ask, would it be possible still to differentiate the dodge by stat, so dex characters would get a roll, int characters get a short teleport and str characters get a D4 esque evade? Some guys just shouldn't roll tbh.

"1 for zoom" ?
There are flasks that make you teleport ?
Or is it just about QuickSilver being on first flask ?
Or do some people rebind their movement skill keys to 1 ?

Also, looks like Diablo 3 will beat PoE2 to WASD movement ?
(and a "robot pal", WTF ?!?)
I'm old and slow, and always start to wonder how people have enough fingers to manage 5 flasks and several 'forced' combination skills while they're WASD'ing around Wraeclast.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Q, E, Z, X, C, F, R, Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Tab, numbers, those are used for fps shooters for lean, reload, crouch, prone, interact, weapons, scope etc with 0 problems.

Not to mention, that kind of movement works great on controllers as well. Also, the old and slow argument, for me just sounds like grumpy whining about change, it's not 200 fps no vsync cs tournament, but an easy to control and generous with aiming isometric arpg. Now, I'm not saying noone should be against it, just that old and slow is not a valid reason to be - anyone who can drive a car can do it.

Then you totally misunderstood. I have no problems with them adding WASD movement. As long as they add it strictly as an option, it's only positive. There's TONS of things about PoE 2 I'm disappointed/nervous about, WASD isn't one of them. "Old and slow" was strictly self-aware/critical remark.

Don't try so hard to fish between the lines, when there's no hidden meaning there.

You know most of the macros are not allowed, but you can still make a combo at 1 button.
You are pressing one button, every time you pressing, the key is changing.
You press the same button 5 times, you do for example 1,2,3,4,5.
One button - One action.

I am using this sometimes for curses. Every time i click, there is diffrent curse. Very helpful.

I read such arguments in the initial reactions, so maybe I assumed too much. You did suggest it's somehow hard to manage though, and it's not.

Subjective...
