what can a newbie do to start this league?

I want to start this league with Armor stacker build.
Since it costs approximately at minimum 6 Mirror of Kalandra, I alt+f4 and quit. | |

would you quit something like WoW on level 1 if you couldnt play some of the most popular and most endgame things right away from the start?

Penance brand is quite bad for leveling, Dissipation doesn't have the AoE you want, and conduction doesn't have the damage you need. Much better to start with standard storm brand -> standard penance(1 Alch) and level up. After campaign go get 70c and buy a corrupted lvl20 gem -> done.

just forget it, dont try to talk me into trying this league unless I can start with the penace of dissipation, awakened increase area affect, replica dragonfang's flight plus 15 divines, with them at least I know i will get to lvl100 this time with no headache, end-game bosses still far reach for me tho.

just stay away till poe 2 is released play grim dawn / last epoch instead
