Why Affliction feels so good.

While I get the idea and the concept, it's actually not balanced at all. Just alch and go with some scarabs and abysses with ZERO juice results in...a few chaos and a div every...dozen maps?

Now do that same thing with 8k juice. Things take 2-3x longer to kill, my character is in no more danger, and I average 4-5 div PER MAP.

200-300% harder.
8000-10000% more rewarding.
It takes "only 3 times" longer to kill because you overkill current version. Lets say current version has 1M HP, buffed version has 10M HP. If you do 3.5M DPS, you will think monsters are "only 3 times tankier" while in reality they are 10 times tankier.

last league I could easily make 10 div/h running alch/go. So you telling me, since league is making monstres 100 times more rewarding, I can now make 1000div.h going alch/go? Damn, guess I will get mirror tiers items in one day.

I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you that much. This league is not that funny, at least not for me. Economy is sorta messed up because of what GGG made.

I don't really care about that, but I usually like to switch between builds middle-league, try new stuff, grab my own challenges (without buying them), and when the prices of everything ramp up (because nobody cares about selling stuff for chaos anymore and divines are being dropped by 10s, not 1s), it sorta gets more difficult and I have to stop to farm the same map everyone's farming, using the same abyss mechanic everyone's abusing...

I think that the whole idea of the wisps are nice, but they kinda put "too much" on it.


Every complaint you just listed can be laid at the feet of mf juicing abyss spires(which is honestly kind of busted to begin with), not the league mechanic itself. The OP is spot on.


That's pretty much what I summarized on the last sentence. League is ok, just the balance of things that are not.

I like it because I can "juice" content without fucking around with all the bullshit orbs, sextants, etc. I dont have my PoE masters degree yet, so this is a good league for scrubs like me.
The problem with this season, any regular economy as soon as the season ends or actually already started is dead and completely inflated. its way to easy to get mirrors and hundreds of divines on daily bases which is usually impossible.

You know whats funny? I make very big part of my money from flipping. When do I start flipping? In first week of the league when economy is fresh etc? No. I start when economy is "already ruined" and prices dont change or barely change.

My comment was about the general game and everything which lands in the perma game, not about the season where I agree with you. Late it’s easy to make money especially when it’s almost dead.

Party quanitity barely matters at this point. Empyrian made MF character and tried solo MF and he made pretty much the same money compared to what they were doing in full 6 man pt.
Its MF that needs to go.
Affliction feels good until things just stop dying and one tap you. It's way too overturned. A guy I watch for dota has a tanky mageblood rage vortex build with 18-20 mil dps and he refuses to touch it. He did it once in a t16 juiced map and he 6 Portaled easy.

They busted something with it.
