Oh yes, jpg Gaming
" I tried everything, 1 year ago everything was okay, 6 months ago everything was okay, new particle system = drop performance, current league does weird frozen screens, frozen whole pc, sudden crashes, first time ever had gpu peak usage and 80°C (even A few days before the start of the league I cleaned the entire PC, changed thermal paste for Cooler Master MasterGel Pro v2 and installed 2 120mm fans) Like, there's 0 tutorials about how to fix current issues, besides ggg to put hands on it since isn't my pc related. Unless the minimum requirements are increased from the last league to the current one, it seems absurd to me. My PC literally explodes every time I start the game, the whole system is slow at times and stutters, I can't have a video playing because it bugs or closes, nothing like that happened a couple of weeks ago, and seeing how things are going it doesn't surprise me that, one day I can't play anymore, I guess I'll need 500 more dollars to play shrug " People do not buy mtx to show off to other players, people buy mtx to see them on their character, to look cool or cute, not to be seen by others, this is a consequence, but not the main reason as you state, and if you are going to buy something so that others can see it, it already happens and I do not deny that it happens, in real life there are people who rents lambos to take photos and show off, but that doesn't mean everyone thinks or does those things. Well said, I completely agree with the rest, but that "People buy MTXs to show off to other players" is not correct. Not showing mtx means not making money, even so, I think you understand that I am not the target audience or potential buyer, I have 4021 hours played and I have not bought even 1 mtx from those players in town, I am not interested, I prefer to buy stashs and specific mtx of certain skills, like Void Emperor Ice Spear for example and it is a mtx that I have never seen anyone use on my parties (contrary to your statement), I saw it in the store and it caught my attention that it plays better with that mtx

"It's in our interests too, more money to GGG = better game"
Is it copium? " I have been playing kinetic blast totem from Jwar's build, no issues at all (untill ggg put new particle system and stuff so stuck max 50fps on 4ways) used to play cwdt ice spear/freezing pulse no issues, no lag whatsoever Most mtx doesn't giveme lag, only the last bulk of new ones hammers my fps but no lag spikes or anything weird, just fps drop. Activate the dynamic resolution because it helps me reduce the loss of fps a little (in town), and that's why it looks like this, I thought it was funny but it doesn't really bother me, I think the game has much more important problems than losing a couple of fps in town Venezuela es mi barrio, y odio mi barrio.

" That's an interesting one. We'll just have to assume that everyone is running an SSD. Are there any SSDs out there that perform poorly under certain circumstances. I know there is a software issue (when running very specific applications) with one of mine which completely unmounts the SSD. Could it be that RAM requirements of PoE increased (from say, 8 GB to 16 GB) and there is quite a bit of swapping going on in-game? | |
Its funny, after I ported the shader folder to a new directory the game is actually playable.
I would like to know how this kind of quality is actually achieved, I would LOVE to fight some bosses with that sort of picture presented. Could be a fun experience. Like when last league the shaders failed to load and you could fight Shaper without any textures being loaded, was more of a guessing game of where the beam came from. Fun times, indeed. And remember kids, D4BAD. |

" Is this being played on a gameboy? I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

" Sure, SDD will give the greatest performance gains over an HDD but it's a moot point nowadays since HDD is essentially deprecated. GPU with good VRAM will do the heavy lifting providing the greatest performance boost in fully loaded maps for processing/rendering all the objects/textures, etc. not the CPU, although to optimize performance you need to pair each other accordingly. " Sure no. Show me SSD capable to store 32+ TB of data for the fair price. HDD/SSD performance has nothing to FPS if resources streaming is not bottlenecked. " And this is also not true. CPU is used a lot in PoE, you can clearly check the CPU load for each process thread and in-game metrics. This is so cute when non-developer theorizes about the things he barely knows. " If the game "freezes whole PC" as you say, it is definetly NOT GGG's problem. Don't you know how user applications interact with your hardware? Anything related to the system stability has nothing to the user application, it's your hardware, drivers, operating system, UEFI, etc. If the game heats up your GPU, it is your issue, not GGG. Blame GPU developer for the bad cooling (how do you even know it is bad?) when application requested LEAGALLY AVAILABLE power to process the image GPU MUST work at 100% load non-stop without any issues. If it can't - do not buy it. If some application in user mode causes black screens / bsods / freezes the PC (you can't switch to other tasks) - blame your operating system / drivers which has priority over any user process. PoE can crash (basically it is closed by the OS to protect your data!), but it can't damage your PC. Learn how exception raising works and how they are handled. And why. You will be surprised. " We're talking about gaming performance, not storage backup LOL Where did I say CPU isn't used? Reading comprehension is a skill snowball. "I've played a lot of videogames. It's my primary recreational activity. Best games ever: Elden Ring and Diablo 4."

" " Both GPU AND CPU affects game performance depending on the scene. You can't have good FPS on decent GPU like RTX 4090 with weak CPU like i5 2500K in dense. PS Modern HDD is more than enough for PoE. Even not modern. SSD is good option for quality of life but it's not mandatory. And it only affects streaming resources, not rendering pipeline.
