for colorblind / vision issued people

I have tried a few times asking if they will change the league mechanic to be able to be done for us. In my case having done over 30 and not clearing it, no ability to differentiate anything due to lack of contrasting colors etc. Instead of replying they have deleted them.

In all these years playing this game I have never been treated in this manner.

I have seen complaints from others, have they actually responded to any of you or is their treatment a general fuck you to their colorblind and visually bad community? I have only seen responses from other players that are for the most part, completely unhelpful.

Getting a yes or no answer from these people, which is something a first grader is easily capable of, seems impossible from them. I mean this is that bad.

Hell, they even had audacity to sell mouse cursor as MTX for anyone who need it for QoL reason.

Not many games are known for accommodating vision impaired folks. Not even Diablo series where I can't have hp and mana bar on top of character instead of globes at bottom.

Yes, that was a bad move and later corrected. Although I think depending on the screen clutter you can get in PoE, no mouse cursor will remedy the visibility issues.

actually every game that is made has ways colorblind / vision impaired people can play. In alot of areas I use specifically only the minimap to move around because I have to, but... I can, and have been playing path of exile for well over a decade.

The some that do not at all, lose out on a small portion of the population (that sadly they do not care about).

As far as moba's I can play many, and tried to go pro on smite (did great in tournaments, team won a few, etc) but never made pro. And I am a person that cannot see borders as normal people can.

That being said in regards to path yeah sometimes I will run into things because a stone hut on stone is something I cant see seperately except maybe sometimes the roof and not always (eff you act 3) the game is still playable.

This league mechanic, is completely impossible. But because it is the league mechanic and every one of my builds i made, which is only four so far, requires them. Ggg is having the attitude of fuck you guys you just cant play, and you want to put support tickets in, we will just delete them and not even respond. Ive stopped playing this league because it's depressing not being able to play the league, and its their treatment of even responding that pisses me off.

I'M red/green color blind, been a struggle my whole life gaming! and NO turning on color blind settings does NOT help!! So im over 50, seen colors one way my whole life than BAM you click color blind settings (Which there are many different types of color blindness) and now I recognize zero colors haha!! i just muttle threw, but numbers on things would work or different shapes of things and contrasting colors.

You make this thread as if the orbs are even visible to non-color blind people. The blue orbs are the same exact color as the ring of light and sparkles attached to it and half the time I notice I have any blue wisps I have no idea where they came from. GGG has already mentioned they are aware of the issue and looking into it. It's likely whatever solution they come up with will also help colorblind people.

no, I do not make the thread as if for non colorblind people I have absolutely no experience in the last 25 years of not being colorblind. (sadly that was lost, as well as a large portion of my vision) I do not know what you see on the screen. I do know that guildies in two guilds have been able to do wildwood.

You seem to be fundamentally confused here. There is no "completing" or "clearing" wildwood. You spawn at a random point in the area and have a limited number of steps and then get kicked out. There is no "winning" a wildwood, you just run around and hope to find stuff before you run out of steps. Often you find nothing interesting.

Second, the three colors used were chosen SPECIFICALLY to aid in visibility for colorblind people. The colors used are teal, yellow and purple, these are the same colors used for harvest, they are like the most optimal colors to use to help with clarity for those colorblind and are distinguishable by all common forms of colorblindness. If you have monochromatic vision then you are screwed and there's not much that can be done.

The current visibility issues are affecting everyone which is why GGG has mentioned it in their Affliction launch live updates post.

they could add an entire game options menu for colorblind people where they can modify every particle effect of every single skill effect and ui element in the game. but i fear even if they did that, you guys still would not stop complaining on reddit and the forums

nah there's a difference between qqing and trying to enact game design change over your colorblindness (which is a negligible amount of users) vs showing sympathy for the disabled.


in 50 years, hopefully ggg doesn't cave in and add a colorblind league checkmark at the char creation screen

1. qqing means crying. However in this, noone is crying. If you have to pretend this for any reason, you are not a person to be speaking in any manner. In this, I will give you my first request that you have someone else both think for you, and type for you. Wow.

2. Showing sympathy for the disabled, no. I am disabled, and colorblind people see the entire world differently as well than normal people, and often need to express differently especially for description. That is just with vision. It is an example, for use only. You have shown yourself to be mentally incapable to understand basic things, so have someone else explain this for you. I have already lost my patience.

3. Trying to enact game design change over my colorblindness. You know, the reason why companies research and market to as many people as they can, is to benefit from it. Games do it for money and reaching a bigger audience. Games that are inclusive to more people, have access to more people, can make more money, can have higher ratings, etc et al. GGG is a company that has done a rather decent job, even if sometimes on accident, of making sure people with visual disabilities can play this game. In order in case something happens though, what needs done is speaking for communication. Something you have not missed but seem to be incapable of understanding, is this is a community wide speaking to the ggg developers, something you are not a part of btw. The community is not developers, all we can do is speak out. Many have stopped playing, I did though only temporary because they are fixing the issue. But this is what we are doing, speaking.
