We aren't being gaslighted, player expectations are largely caused by the players it isn't like GGG has been telling us nothings nerfed.

The point is to release enough exciting stuff that the players don't particularly care that you nerfed some other stuff. That is a tried and true approach used by many developers.

Its also a long way from 3.15, most of the nerfs are pretty laughable in the long run and come down to "my build is way worse because I didn't update it yet" :p

The only thing GGG routinely gaslight on is risk vs reward

Pure buffs for me.

1. I have never played a build with a GG helm enchant (because I am unwilling to grind that many lab runs)
2. I have never played a build with alt quality gems (because Heist can fuck off)
3. I have never built around a threshold jewel (and they don’t really exist these days anyways)

I am excited about more mechanics becoming accessible and the new ways to play many skills.

I am still waiting for Kalandra and Crucible nerfs to be reverted, you know the ones that people said would be offset by mirrored rings and Crucible passive trees.

Well, at least they won't delete Transfigured gems... Right?

Hopefully they at least keep the secondary ascendancies... I mean those are way more hype then Transfigured gems that remove 1/3 of a skills mechanic, move it to a new gem, and then nerf the damage by 20-30 perecent.

Well i guess they're going to delete them as soon as they find a way to introduce 'craftable' gems, as it was mentioned in the other thread.

We derailed in a circle. This is more or less back on track of the OP and might be the alternative of prefix/suffix.

Still, don't know how that could be missed, and I'm a firm believer of the punq.
