We need a statement on Sanctum from GGG

Specifically, on Sanctum rewards. Are they overtuned? Undertuned? Do rewards stay like this in the next league? Are they getting nerfed? Can I plan my character and farming strategy under the assumption that I can still buy tomes and farm Sanctum non-stop in the next league?

what kind of statement do you expect?
The rewards are already heavily nerfed compared to what they used to be during the Sanctum league. Only small compensation is that you get to sell relics, but that's about it.

You're getting your desired information with the patch notes for the next league, so be patient lol
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Back in 3.13 GGG released a statement mid-league about the state of Harvest and the fact that they are heavily nerfing it the next league, so that people have time to abuse it as much as possible until the league ended. I want them to release a statement about how they feel about Sanctum and whether it will be nerfed or stays as is the next update.

Nah they are buffed due to it switching from a time-limited mechanic to one you can 100%

You can now live in Sanctum if you want which makes the earning potential extremely high.

Honestly GGG are going to have to address it like they did with Heist, I'm expecting the wrong choice though (gutting the rewards) rather than the right choice (make it actually a roguelike).

They may decide to just leave it be until they have time for it as well though but its going to colour future leagues more than it should if it remains as is. Not really a problem tbh or lets just call it a minor one.
hoho the way people are running that shit super fast it's getting nerfed for sure. Get on it while you can.

ofc it'll get nerfed. no mechanic should print that much raw currency
Sanctum should be 100% ADJUSTED, not nerfed. Currently, Sanctum is way way way better in everything than it was in Forbidden Sanctum League.

The best adjustment for Sanctum next league, IMO, is to change on how players able to access Forbidden Sanctum. Either ;
1) From enabling A FULL SANCTUM RUN with 1 Forbidden Tome, into 1 Sanctum Floor/Forbidden Tome.
or
2) Remove Forbidden Tome completely from core-game loot, put Sanctum passives on atlas tree, make Sanctum access works like in Sanctum League ; Find Divinia in map > Store Rooms.

If GGG gutted Sanctum Reward, then it will be like boss farming, hoping for a jackpot reward ; Original Scripture. Or doing Original Sin run.

If GGG gutted Forbidden Tome drop rate, then most likely players will sell tomes rather than running them. Even more so if there is no reward buffs, or even nerfing the reward ontop of nerfing Forbidden Tome drop.

The problem, as always, lies in the difference between top end and casual farming. The sanctum rewards are fairly balanced if not a little undertuned if you need like 30min for a full run, which is not entirely fictional for non-optimized characters.
I myself bricked multiple runs just for the simple reason that my char sucks ass at the mechanic and I am too impatient.

But if you have some autorun-totem-speedster with 250± movement speed then those people outearn every other league mechanic. It has a very interesting influence on the market as well: divines are more stable than ever since their introduction as the main premium currency, while prices for chase items are about 70% higher than they were usually by the 4-5 week mark.

So blatantly nerfing the rewards will work just fine to bring the top end in line with other t1 or highly optimized strategies, while casuals will most likely never touch it again, making it again better than the rest due to the influx in price for the tomes then.

I think the best way to balance it would be kind of the heist treatment. Disable tomes as a global drop, put them into some sort of stash, nerf tomes heavily but introduce atlas points to improve them, like enchanted contracts.

With this u nerf the power a bit, make it harder to run it optimized, enable a good way to farm it yourself by also making it more time intensive AND deny easy market access from global drops while also enabling a new farming strat for people who are willing to spec into it.

You’ll get your statement in the patch notes for 3.23.
they are gonna slightly nerf it over time just like every other mechanic until it on par with the others.

point being that is gonna be good enough for those who like it.. not for those who run it bcause of the "op" rewards
d:-D*
