Can someone help

I am pushing act 8 and most bosses basically one shot me. What stats do I need more of? And are my items good enough to keep pushing?

Your profile is private so we can't see your character or what gear it has.

What character class are you playing?

well, your passive tree is completely wrong and you have wrong gems in your gear

and you have literally zero passives on the tree for life and you dont have any resists. of course they'll one shot you... your gear is very bad except the body armour

first decide on a bow skill to use then you have to build your character accordingly. no one uses toxic rain, caustic arrow, scourge arrow, rain of arrows and ballistas all at once in a single build. most builds use 1 main skill, and some may go for 2 for an additional bossing setup but that's it. rest of the sockets are for auras, curses, utility skills, mobility skills, guard skills etc. you don't even have any aura or curse atm

as a rule of thumb you take every single life wheel on the passive tree that's on your path

You haven't invested in hardly suvivability, 3 points in some evasion nodes is not nearly enough. In PoE, the mobs hit as hard as players, so you need a plan both on how to survive, and how to kill. While you're learning, roughly half your tree will be tools to not die with (be it Life, Evasion, Suppression, Resists, and Block, at least for a bow ranger able to play keep away).

You don't need every bow cluster in the tree, you need about one or two, and even then you only take the node far enough to get to the big passive, you only rarely want to fully claim a cluster. Cutting down on some of these distant ones so you can get things like Revenge of the Hunted, Herbalism, Quick Step, Intravate, and the Evasion Mastery that gives Suppression if you're fully equipped with Evasion armor will all help with your frequent deaths. (On the cutting board, you also have a Frenzy Charge node and I see no way to generate them, making all three points fully dead to you if true, AND you're not even using them as a passage to get some where, as you have the jewel socket above it to do that).

You could reroute your south clusters, removing Heavy Draw, Deadly Draw, instead routing to the middle row, getting Toxic Strikes, Farsight, Freedom of Movement and Entrench while you can't make up that Suppression via gear (or other skills), Thick Skin, it's pretty efficent travel-wise, while offering a pretty diverse set of tools.

In addition, your Gear matters a lot, because your defensive stats (Evasion, Armor, Energy Shield) are being multiplied by your passive tree, keeping closer in line to these matters a lot. A character with several Evasion nodes won't get much value out of pure armor pieces, so only add them when you know what you're doing and why you're adding them. For a beginner, if it lacks Evasion as its core defenses as a ranger, throw it away.

Is this passive tree worth salvaging or should I start new character?

Depends how many respec points you have, I'd suggest a hard restart myself, but any tree is 'salvagable' with enough time. If you have a friend who can bankroll the Regret orbs it wouldn't be toooo hard since Regrets tend to be fairly cheap to a long time playing character. Honestly if this is in Standard I bet I have enough kicking around I could throw your way.

first you have to decide what you wanna play. you want to play poison scourge arrow, or toxic rain (not poison), or caustic arrow (not poison) or a ballista build? you need different gear and a different passive tree for each. you can also do ballistas with toxic rain or scourge arrow, can be poison or non-poison.

the tree changes for every skill because if you want to play dot based toxic rain, you need attack speed and skill effect duration, but these stats are pretty much irrelevant for dot based caustic arrow. for poison you still need attack speed, but you don't need skill effect duration and instead you need stuff related to poison

there are also hit based toxic rain, caustic arrow and scourge arrow builds but you dont seem to be going for that

I gather that this is your first character. Don't worry, we've all made mistakes with the first one, unless following a dedicated build guide.

My first ever character was a witch, her skills were dreadful as was her skill tree.

Take a look at some build guides in the Ranger subforum, they will give you ideas for how to build the skill tree, what nodes to look for etc. And do take note of the advice offered by auspexa and Northern_Ronin.

This is a great game, but it takes time and patience to master it. I'm still learning after playing for nearly 8 years :)

Don't give up.

This isn't strictly true, you can blunder through and be 'close enough' in that regard and finish the campaign. It's not going to be the best, but it will work. However, you are correct that the character will preform better if that choice is known earlier. But shifting between those fields is only a few regrets, not 'rebuild the tree from start' extensive.
