What should we play PoE1 or 2?

Too early for me to decide before they show:
- More acts sneak peeks
- New way to unlock Ascendancy points
- reveal all base classes, including the new Templar (Giraffelar?!)
- How endgame will look like
- QoL in general

Probably PoE 1.

PoE 2 looked like it was about boss fights (the worst part of poe for me).
We tested it extensively
I expect both, but likely my time will mostly be spent in PoE2.
You don’t have to choose one or the other. Their league launches will be staggered. Try both when PoE2 comes out and then figure out what you want to do.

Why not both? Like Dichotomous said above, the idea is to have league launches staggered. Probably about 2 months between each, since they have essentially moved to a 4-month league period now in POE1.
This seems like a moot question since we won't even have a beta for POE2 until at least next summer.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.
it would seem that they aim to have you play both, where they will end up with a league launching on PoE2 then a few months later when player retention drops off they'll do one for PoE1.

This is a fine sentiment, but GGG's entire motivation for splitting PoE2 off into a separate game was to allow them to make big, fundamental changes to the mechanics. Ostensibly, they want to separate the "ha ha autobomber go brrrrrrr clear maps in 10 seconds while I watch TV" crowd from the "let me set up a sick 5-skill combo to fight every white mob" crowd. If the two games are going to be that different, it's very likely that any one person will vastly prefer one to the other.
Are you a slave? Cant you try and decide for yourself what you preffer?
