For anybody wanting the see the updated shortcut icon, make sure you recreate the shortcut manually. It's much easier on the eyes.

Havn't got a client crash in a while, but getting them now. Seems i'm not the only one.

Quite excited to report that my BSOD issues with my Creative Xi-Fi Titanium card have apparently ceased!

Played nonstop since patch upload and so far zero crashes and very nice sound. =)
Loved the new patch, that new effect for critical hits just made the game even better .

Nice Job Guys ...

I love how as this gets closer and closer to open beta the opening music evolves. It's like watching a really long movie opening :D

As much as i love the update, the critical hit effect is actually annoying as fuck
Anyway to get a detailed list of what changed in the tree, or was there any change at all?

This change may be more important than it looks. The minimap images didn't have texture compression enabled before. Some of those images were getting up to sizes like 4096 X 2048 without us really realising. With texture compression they will be 8 times smaller.

I'm hoping to see a lot less cases of the client running out of memory.

I agree!
I always get the out of memory bug after switching maps a few times due to textures hogging up resources. Even with the -gc 1 parameter applied.

DLing the patch right now, and gonna hope this change fixes my PoE crash related problems.
Rest of the notes look good so patiently waiting to try out the new build. All in all, good job guys.
