Streamers saying how glad GGG fixed the exploit after using it?
" It's still my opinion that it wasn't an exploit. I'm level 34 in SSF Ruthless TotA, so no, I didn't abuse the shit out of it and am now salty. Bird lover of Wraeclast

Bro
What bug? What abuse? Are you drunk? It's not a glicht in the game. They added that, in that state. Should players read minds now? It's a flaw in the development of the mechanic, one of many, many, did I said many? Many of them. Not a flaw on the player side. That's basic logic. The only exploit is on part of GGG. Exploiting the good faith of anyone that supports the game. Specially considerating how bad performance got, as the cherry on top, in the middle of this clusterfuck. It was a valid if cheesy strategy.
Not an exploit. It's GGG's game, they can remove strategy viability at will, and have done so almost every league, either overtly like this (or like meteor tower burning effect), or covertly, when publicly nerfing a mechanic while a league is in progress would bring much-deserved consumer scorn and dissatisfaction. They don't have to allow our skills to do diddley squat in their league content. They could decide oh "RF is too easy for defective people to play, so let's make all the mobs immune to fire." And we wouldn't have any say. None. As for streamers, they're just covering their own rears. They make money off traffic and if they complain and stop playing the league out of protest, that income goes away. Either because they're voluntarily boycotting the game, or because they said something negative about GGG and ate a banhammer. If you DON'T stream for a living and DON'T have a contractor relationship with GGG, and were playing the trials for fun, and the change to knockback makes the mechanic unfun for you, feel free to walk away. You have no obligation to play or support a product that makes up the rules as they go along, even if it's "legal" vis a vis EU's digital products laws, or "ethical" vis a vis the elite pro gamer community. Where was the exploiting? Using skill/support gems in the game with gear in the game? Was it cheese? Sure. But it wasn't exploiting. Sooo many people are complaining that "he got that and I had to work, its not fair!". Its a pve game. Whatever they got has nothing to do with you. Even if Ziz and Steel didn't do what they did, they'd probably still end up a lot richer and more powerful IG than you. Everyone complains about others using "exploits" when in reality they're normally just upset that they didn't get to enjoy the ride while it lasted because of life obligations etc.
Edit: Btw I had to work that day too. By the time I got home from work I noticed the gloves dropped from 50c+ to 5c. Figured eh maybe it still works and got the gloves. Found out it didn't work anymore. And to that I said "meh oh well" and went about my grind. Last edited by spaceyourfacee on Aug 27, 2023, 5:58:13 PM

Common sense strategies that work exactly as you would expect them to work can never be called "exploits."
People are glad it's fixed because it means they can go back to playing other builds without feeling like they are wasting their time.
There are people in this game who don't have the self control to play anything other than the best best best meta thing they can. They ask for nerfs to cheese so they have the 'freedom' to play something else. Which is the next best meta thing.
Yeah, I don't get it either. |

People need to calm down.
If this is an exploit so is every single build that can mow down a pinnacle boss in a few seconds. GGG overlooked knockback and how it would interact with the league mechanic. People discovered how good it was, GGG fixed it. It is clear that this ( unlike the ultimatum stuff ) wasn't a bug but GGG missing a mechanic. They didn't fix behaviour, they added behaviour. There is a clear difference between this and exploits that GGG previously did issue bans for. Streamers have always used whatever build is most broken and always will. I don't see how this knockback is different to using some overpowered meta build to steamroll everything. Only difference is builds get fixed between patches whereas this was fixed midway through because it is league specific.

Who cares about streamers? Other than the simps who pay them.
They'll sell their soul for subs and then swear their soul was stolen. |
