Any cheap impactful upgrades i can make or i am at the point where each piece is going to be a few div? Damage is pretty good so i'd prioritize defense/survivability first.

Defensive upgrades under 1 div:
1. Get boots with 6% life implicit (https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Ancestor/bWJOmgzUL) - swap the gems between shield and boots since 3B would be costly.
2. Switch jewels for 7% maximum life, but you may lose DPS
3. Get 20% quality on defiance banner

In the long-run, Skin of the Loyal / Skin of the Lords will do a lot for defense. Also, upgrade your rare ring to a higher life roll. I would say the same for belt if you don't intend to use Coward's Legacy.

Cold one doesn't add nearly as much damage as shock does. It does give some debuffs for enemies but that's it.

Empower 4 and enchant on DD are steps in the right direction.

Other gem upgrades:
1. Ele Weakness with 20% quality
2. Frostbite lvl 21
3. Divergent Bonechill
4. Divine Blessing with 20% quality

Is there a list with the safe keystones for Skin of the Lords that will not brick the cold dot build?

Skin of the Lords with beneficial keystones seem kinda expensive. Maybe anyone could suggest keystones that don't affect this build negatively/too negatively?

Just looking at the 4B1G1R Skins online right now, we can go down the list and see which ones don't brick the build:

Avatar of fire - bricks the build cause we do cold damage
Supreme ego - brick cause we use more than 1 aura
Ancestral bond - brick for obvious reasons
Ghost reaver - sounds okay but less ES recharge means you'll run out of ES to cast spells, brick

Vaal pact - Useable, we lose hp regen but the build doesn't have much regen to lose anyway. You might die a lot more to degens with this tho.

Iron reflexes - first decent one, converting grace evasion to armour gets you to 90k armour with jade and granite flasks up.

Eternal youth - bricks cause you lose ES recharge

Imbalanced guard - personally haven't tested, but might be useable? If you have less than 50% phys damage reduction with determination and flasks up maybe it's even a beneficial keystone? Someone else should know better than me.

Blood magic - no

Hex master - good

Solipsism - useable, unless you need the extra ES to cast hatred.
