Following up on Recent Feedback

Holy hell you make it seem like you are having hour long discussions on whether 100s of armor scraps are valuable or not. Do you not understand the value of currency in your own game???

It's like spending an hour looking at the color black and debating what color it is, it's ridiculous.

If that is an accurate window to the internal discussions within GGG, this game is doomed.

Chris said he is happy with 10k players, I hope he still feels that way, because that's about the number of players POE is going to drop to.

atleast things are moving in the right direction, but i feel like this entire game has been more of a race between players finding enjoyable things and devs deleting things the players enjoy as fast as possible.
Which is really sad to see considering how good this game used to feel just a few leagues back compared to now.
I personally have a hard time to enjoy the game lately because it just feels like you're forcing updates the playerbase dont want or like and then adapting those changes a tiny bit mid league to calm down the outrage...

oh and also please find something new to add to mobs other than on-death effects and flying balls chasing people around... it doesnt make the game harder just annoying not being able to loot for 30 seconds after youve cleared the entire area around you.

While this isn't exactly what you want to hear, I can say that this issue was pushed very hard during discussions to see if any compromise could be made. Harvest's crafting potential without being gated by rarity is just too high.


So you created a problem, and now you're trying to solve it?

Im not proving your point. Because in this state people will use 3rd-party discord to trade it again. We Will be back in past league but wih stack of lifeforce and all crafts will be sellable again there

When saying high loot variance you may as well say, loot goblins that you meet once in who knows how many instances, that you may or may not be able to kill if you had the bad luck of spawning them in timed encounters like breach or legion. Nothing quite like seeing that Solaris touched monster pop in for 2 seconds when the breach starts closing.
No one minds that there's a mob with massively improved rewards, we've seen that across many franchises. But if the massively improved loot is just something that was taken away from content you would have encountered far more, the gameplay loop becomes imbalanced.
I think no one will protest the empowered elements AN mob being good, or Entangler.
The issue is when you get a necromancer with empowered elements and the fractured items get turned into scraps.

Harvest recipes were always tradeable btw. You just had to use TFT and/or risk losing an item. I'm pretty sure the harvest rework was a direct response to TFT drama over the last couple leagues, but then, I might be wrong. Gutting Harvest because you made it tradeable for the masses leaves a bad taste for everyone that didn't trade on TFT and probably pushes a good number of the people that crafted high value items before out of the game. Especially when removing reforge prefixes and reforge suffixes which were the saving grace for an item that had good prefixes or good suffixes that you wanted to metamod that didn't have open slot for prefix/suffix cannot be changed mod.
