What Happened with Items
Shameful...

it sounds like we must search for the AN mod monster and all other drop trash. thats not so good. its bad that one AN mod drop tons of good items while all the other feels like wasting time. i hope you can balance this.
maybe bedder to run a 4 month league than a 3 month. So you guys have 1 month more to testing and we become a bedder balance patch. i´m sure nobody would cry and sad about that. maybe 3 month is not enough to testing all the changes. i still quit the league, but i like poe and play now in standart. i hope you can repair this big construction zone "POE". |

" You ARE aware that some mf parties are cheating and have a program that shows them if a SolarisT mob spawned in a map before they enter it? I hope it's not those players data you're using to convince us that everything is fine. |

Thank you for being so open in communicating even in heated atmosphere!
I love reading posts explaining stuff from developer perspective and seeing how game changing at the same time (relatively speaking :P) - there are things I take out of it for inspiration on my game dev journy. Keep up the good work, ty for content you provide: PoE and things around it. |

" Yes, The community has become toxic, but saying "This feels awful" is not a problem in itself, it is a valid statement and it helps showing that the direction of the game may not be good. The problem is that there is a lot off toxicity against the GGG people, making any sort of communication very difficult, why would GGG read through reddit and forums where there are mostly replies like "you don't know what you're doing", "you are running the game with your bad vision", "you are bad at your job" and whatever other attacks(there is also a lot of very good feedback, but that is not that popular usually) are vehiculated online. The sad outcome that seems to be reached is that when something is not extremely bad, communication doesn't happen too much. GGG is still keeping in touch though, they still mention lots of the changes they are doing, and still react to some of the feedback. Also, since AN was troublesome since it was made core, and it still is, probably the teams at GGG are quite stressed (just a guess, maybe all is ok). The game is still very much playable (I usually barely reach red maps, so I am not affected too much by the problems of the loot right now, just a bit), and also, there is no other game that comes close to PoE in its genre, so even if the game is changed very much, it's not like PoE will be surpassed by some other games in one-two leagues. High hopes that the next league won't be plagued by low rewards or very difficult unavoidable content. |

Players have been saying we reduced drops by 90% but in reality, that type of difference could only be true in the most extreme situations involving Beyond, Delirium and Incursion stacked with party quantity, rarity, sextants and scarabs and a dedicated MF culler (peak efficiency of every juice mechanism that exists). Every other player is unaffected on average. For example when playing Breach, the reduction in currency items found is around 7% (when comparing 3.19.0d to 3.18.1f). In 100% Delirium maps, the difference hits 17%. In Incursion and regular non-league content, you'll find 25% more.
So whats the idea here, to play 100% deli maps without any other juice, so to have 17% penalty than 90% penalty? As a solo player I reach stage where I can go with some mf gear in 60% deli maps with full beyond, alva, sextants and scarabs but instead I play single league mechanic maps because of ramping penalty? |

"how we have fixed it."
WHAT? |

"I… didn't actually understand the impact of the change. It was mentioned to me in passing (that we were removing the league monster bonuses and replacing with just quantity), and I didn't ask any more questions. I was busy, distracted, and should have sought more information. Had I understood the consequences, we likely would have still gone ahead with the change, but hopefully with better communication and maybe some pre- rather than post-release counterbalance elsewhere. This is a massive internal communication fuckup and I take full responsibility for it."
Thank you for taking accountability and your honesty in this statement. I appreciate it. Veritania: When was the last time you saw the sun, Exile? The true sun.
