[3.27] Ice Dancing God - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

So I was about to start a huge project where I was going to try to Reflecting Mist a Helical Ring with 190+ Int, 40+ all attributes, and damage taken recouped as mana to free up a Watchers Eye mod but then this popped up on trade:



Guess I do not have to do that craft now...

Anyone planning on running Whispering Ice in POE2?

It looks like the item has changed. This is what's in 0.3:

Requires Level 78, 137 Int
Grants Skill: Level 18 Heart of Ice
Grants Skill: Level 18 Icestorm
+4 to Level of all Cold Spell Skills
10% reduced Cast Speed
15% increased Intelligence
4% increased Spell Damage per 10 Intelligence
Inflict Elemental Exposure on Hit, lowering Total Elemental Resistances by 25%

That seems somewhat better than POE1's staff (assume you can actually int-stack in poe2...)

Level 19 version is char level 84.

Kelvynn mentioned Ritualist, for the third ring slot.

ES leech might be a problem, but in another character in an earlier POE2 league, I had a way to double my ES after a bit of combat. I forgot how I did that, but it worked well.

The staff is getting buffed in 0.4. Invoker is also getting buffed. I definitely plan to play it and maybe make a full guide.

Please do make it a full guide or post pob once u getting there :). There is also new sorcerer ascendancy - what do you think of it?

Final Update for 3.27

Updated the guide based on my experience in 3.27:

- High End PoB now uses the regular amulet, but you can switch to Luxury item set and Luxury tree (in Items) to see the Simplex and Bound by destiny.

- Updated Flasks, Ascendancy, Pantheon.

- Added a section for the Grafts. They will probably go to core in 3.28.

- Updated the Gearing Guide to reflect the current priorities. Added the Luxury Upgrades section for the Simplex and Bound by Destiny. Added real values to some of the more pricey upgrades to show how much they actually contribute.

I'm very busy in December and will have much less time for PoE 2 than I do for the PoE 1 leagues. Won't even be able to start until Sunday.

If you plan on playing the Invoker then there are multiple options for leveling to 75:
a) play a melee monk with Hollow Palm;
b) follow some Spark mage guide;
c) follow some Frostbolt mage guide.

The latter two shouldn't be hard to adapt for the Monk start, he has some caster nodes there too, and then you just go up and pretend to be a mage.

I'll try to make a guide when I get to play, but I'll be moving at a much more casual pace in December-January.

The new Sorceress looks interesting too, the cold part. That freezing AoE skill does a lot of damage and it can trigger empowered bolts for Icestorm. But the cooldown may not let it work too well.

Stormweaver also got a buff and she can have +2 storms now, making it the same limit of 5 as in PoE 1. Some interesting possibilities there too.

Sadly, I don't have time to theorycraft right now. I do know that the Invoker will be working even better than in 0.3 for sure.

How about ascendancy in order for invoker?
