Massive lag spikes after being AFK for around 30 minutes

Same issue here.
Started with the League release patch for me.

At least in my case, the cpu latency just rises over time if I sit in the same zone with minions summoned. If I change zones, it resets to normal. I also just unsummoned my minions by removing the gem and it went back to normal cpu latency.
So based on that, seems like a bug with minions in the same area for long periods. Tested with only one minion type at a time and all of them had the same issue so I don't think its a particular model or effect that's causing it. Tested in a map and in hideout, same issue occurs. Maybe something to do with their AI?

Have been experiencing the same issue (I believe it started after one of the recent minor patches of this league).

i7-9700k, rtx 2060, dx12

I do not have any minions in my build. I tend to log in and out to fix the issue, but I suspect that has the same effect as changing zones.

EDIT: confirmed changing zones resolves the issue, definitely the same issue

EDIT2: also the issue occurs regardless if I have portals open or closed

I have the exact same issue, 30min lag starts the longer you leave it the worse it gets. intel cpu 1080gtx started at league patch.

same issue here, will post specs after i wake up a bit more.

One side note though, the lag suddenly vanished after i accidentally weapon swapped by mistake. now every time i come back from being afk, i just weapon swap and it clears up.

Same problem, got it since last 2-3 leagues.
F1 graph after some time in one location shows jumping CPU ms, fps drops. Mostly seen while moving around. Jumps 3ms-600ms, before that perfectly flat 3-4ms.

ryzen 5600, but before that had i3 10105, same shit.

any other solution to this than restart/change area ?
swaping weapons doesnt work for me.
