[3.17] Forbidden rite str stack Occultist, 8k hp, 4mil dps, my league starter (HC viable)

BUILD UPDATE:



I bought that shield for 1ex, but there were many similar on the market. How is that possible? A new craft? Anyway, great choice. Having a rare shield gives the build the ability to achieve 50% true attack block with high max res for spells.

The build now feels very strong in terms of defences, and the damage is good for a 5link in my opinion. I only die when i deserve it, no random deaths and that makes the game fun for me.
Also i'm oversustaining RF no problem.

I did all the conquerors with 80+ quanti and rarity + maven, did the new bosses (dropped a max roll The Annihilating Light), did cortex and dropped Garb of the Ephemeral, so now i want to make a build with those 2. Maybe a cold dot?
Anyway, I'm super happy with the build now.
For bossing i'm just using flame dash.
From now on i guess it's the split personality and then the 6link, but getting a unique 6linked for me is super expensive, i don't know if i'd rather 6link the garb of the ephemeral at this point. We'll see.

Also, i ended up picking the warcry cd nodes so now i can regen all my hp bar every 4 seconds (i use warcry on left mouse). Huge regen for 6 points.

Did you craft most of your gear? How did you craft your amulet? I am struggling with this build and I really do not want to re roll. How did you have enough damage to kill maven? I failed the 10 boss fight and I don't think my gear is much worse than yours. I am also not very good at this game in the sense that if I do not follow an in depth popular guide I'm screwed. I've done previous all content previous leagues but never without following a build.

Your build got me to red maps with very little problem, but my boss damage has fallen off and im dying often

This is pob now. There are some upgrades possible, i don't do the dmg i wanted because i got mana issues not running lifetap on forbidden rite, i miss a whole cluster jewel, and basically you can get chaos leech on gloves now, so that's a ring slot too if you want to improve the build, but at this point i debated if i wanted to go for 6l or make another character, and decided to make a dancing dervish champ, since i played this build enough.

If you die make sure to have the shield, the enduring composure and replica fragile bloom.

Btw i can facetank most abilities from endgame bosses, aside from skills intended to 1shot.

How did you get your belt??? I am looking at the moment and it seems to get something similar would cost around 8-10ex... and that wouldn't be your 100+ strength, 17% Chaos, and 14% increased attributes!

I had a lot of fun with this build in 3.17 and figured I would post some thoughts on it. Here is where I ended up (the rings are wonky, I was experimenting):

- I went with divine flesh (88% chaos res), and I think the only place you can really afford to put it is the unwavering stance location using brine king pantheon to deal with stun

- The chaos res passives north of MoM are actually pretty nice. Between 30% curse reduction from here, Yugul, and consecrated ground you get 110% curse reduction. If you got a belt with the lab enchant for more curse reduction on consecrated ground, I would swap Yugul for Gruthkul for 5% phys reduction

- Purifying flame linked to cwdt and arcane surge- my CwDT is at level 9, which appears to be the sweet spot for covering everything in consecrated ground without draining all of my mana. FR triggers cwdt, so you can rely on having it up. Divergent purifying flame would be another damage boost

- The armor mastery and shield mod give 84% reduced extra damage from crits, which is nice to have

- Inextricable fate ended up being more damage and more life than alberon's. I usually barely noticed the vines, but your milage may vary

- I transitioned to rite at ~level 55. I think you can do it as long as you have your second ascendancy (the 60% chaos res), death rush (~1C), the chaos res passives, and a source of leech. You can grab a low-level delve ring for leech (~1C)

I also experimented with a low life version with life recoup. Still on the fence about it- seemed like it was similar in tankiness with a little more damage, but I didn't really push it

Have you tried looking for lower attributes but 0% quality?
