Path of Exile 3.16 Balance - Part 2 - Core Character Defences and Recovery
Overall i think it sounds pretty awesome, though the full consequences of all these changes in combination with each other seems pretty hard to gauge. But there are a couple of things i worry a bit about.
Evasion: You are removing dodge but seemingly not doing anything about entropy for evasion (the mechanic where after a set amount of evades you will get hit no matter what). Block: I am unsure wether or not capping the block with the keystone at 50% will be good or not. Keystones: I do like that you are giving other classes access to stuff like the gladiator block or ghost dance, so people do not feel as forced into certain ascendancies, but i do worry what it does to the identity of the those classes. Fortify: This sounds like something that will be very hard to balance in that way. Since you got a melee skill like cyclone, that is not necessarily focused on bigger hits but smaller faster once, but very often usses fortify support as part of main link. On the other end of the spectrum you got the big slams. Righteous fire: please do not brick it. |

Mmph. I'm a bit nervous about the Ghost Reaver change since I respec'd into that for the plucky little-engine-that-could off-meta build I've been refining since Delve precisely because I'd realized how ungodly limiting the recharge delay was and how much better eHP-recovery-proportional-to-damage-output felt after playing a Tinkerskin trap build, but if there are other ways to get a non-trivial amount of maximum total recovery from energy shield leech and the leech-killing downside of Wicked Ward is dropped that's probably a net win.
Otherwise, unless there's somehow a real ticking bomb in Part 3, said PLETCOMB seems to have been spared, aside from the part where the specific support gem nerfs in 3.15 that amounted to take-backsies on the power boost I got from upgrading from Searing Touch to Martyr of Innocence and Flame Dash becoming a fair-weather friend don't seem to have been reverted. I am suspicious, but that may be the 3.7 trauma talking. >.> Awakened Combustion Support when?

The randomized base type percentages is a bad change. If I have to read every armor for 10% or 20%, they are all just going off my filter.
Ground Drops already have too much randomness to be worth looking at. |

Honestly, im done with this game now...
Mirror tier gear on a bow character, but still only able to push 3.3k life. If i get hit once im dead. With the new removal of dodge i will die constantly, what can i do about that. I can use all my skill points on evasion and spell suppression, and yet that only reduces the damage i take. So guess what i will still be dead. I love this game, but with all the nerfs and changes for the worse i just don't enjoy it anymore... |

Overall changes look great.
I'm a bit concerned about how the direction of fortify's proposed changes will impact melee ailment builds. Also feel like Energy from Naught can just be removed from the mod pool. Cant imagine anyone wanting to spend 3 passive skills to gain 6% incr ES and 60 flat ES, when one can get so much more mileage out of a regular jewel AND still save 2 passive points |

Chris Wilson in interview: "problem in PoE is that existing defensive mechanics are not enough to mitigate incoming damage."
Manifest: "We are removing existing defensive mechanics" And yes, it feels like GGG buff overall 30% defense but in same time nerf defense by 50% with reworks to mechanics As an evasion/dodge based character player I could never rely on evasion or dodge solely - it was always combination of these two which provided most of defense + Ghost Dance, and even if capped both evasion and dodge in hard encounters with a lot of mobs Ghost Shroud charges were depleted too fast so additionally I had to move/run around like crazy. With these changes I can easily cap evasion (was able to do it before) and reduce spell damage by 50% but times I am hit by an attack are ~50% increased and it means Ghost Shroud charges will be pretty non-existent. Once again they show how little they understand what truly balance mean.
And once again they just never learn. And once again they are destroying huge amount of builds, because there is 1-2 strong builds .... Sorry, but while Gladiator was having a strong defense part, which was obviously the main part in taking Gladiator, the damage was always lacking, ESPECIALLY for One hand + Shield. Also you waste a lot of points to get high block chance. They hit us hard with Tempest Shield change, cause i used it for some "extra" block, and i'm already full on auras. Once again sorry, but this ain't a beta/alpha to do such a drastic changes from league to league. It's ridiculous. But no problem, there is still garbage builds, that are 500% safer, because they are on huge range and are always safe, and do 500x more damage than melee builds, but yeah nerf the melee even more. And tell me why in the blue hell should every mechanics be open to everyone? Isn't this Ascendancy for it for god sake? To give us a unique experience with the certain class? Where is the uniqueness in my build if everyone could get what i have ??? Why in the blue hell i will ever wanna touch Gladiator again ???? It was taken for 1 sole reason ....... " Evasion mitigates Attacks well, so we're introducing Spell Suppression to help Evasion builds protect themselves against Spells. You actually kidding right? Cause Evasion was 500x time stronger than the Armor, and you are making it even more stronger now ...... Do you even play your own game for god sake ??? Tell me a one ***** reason why i should play this mess of a game, compare to ESO or New World ???? |

I haven't played for months, and I come to see what they're planning to do, and it's just more down the same road of horrible design choices that kill player fun.
Have fun I guess, it was nice while it lasted, let me know if there's a legacy server for Betrayal or Harvest league. |

GGG and you dont understand this so POE is losing player base. Why do you think they a posting all of this, yes they are losing money(POE is non just a game it's a business). And now GGG is doing the same mistake like blizzard with WOW. Not the player base should adapt to the game, but the game should be adapted to the player base desires. |
