So elementalist or necro for carrion golems in end game? I also heard stone golem elementalist is great too so maybe I might play that instead.

Depends on your build.
Generally I would say Necromancer is better.
If you're doing any sort of elemental conversion, Elementalist is better.

The biggest issue with Elementalist isn't that your Golems are squishy. It's that your other minions are squishy. They're missing +2 levels and 30% resistance from Necro masteries which makes Zombies and Spectres drop like flies.

For late endgame, Necro is best if you run a phys damage approach. Elementalist is best if you convert to cold/lightning et.c.

Stone Golems are pepeg, there's no reason to run them.
The benefit of running Stone is that you don't have to run Zombies for the 10 minion count and the regen you get. But their dps is lower, especially their clearspeed. All their damage lies in their slams but it has a pretty hefty cooldown so their autoattacks just deal less damage than Carrion Golems with their combo attack.

Thanks for the info. Seems like the primordal jewels would be expensive during league start so I'll probably just do the minion army starter then save up currency for the unique jewels for (carrion) golems unless 3 carrion golems could work out until I farm more currency with the build with 3 carrion golems. We get +2 from two clayshapers and +1 golem from passive right?

+1

Stone Golems are pretty bad. Even I tested them them with harmony stacking to reduce cooldown for slam. It's a big problem if the boss moves around, too.
We can improve clearspeed with explodey AG, but it's still worse than Carrion.

Carrion is just the best golem. It has a leapslam and high attack speed so it's great for mapping and bossing. The big problem with carrion DPS is body blocking against small bosses like Maven because of extra minions (zombies, spectres). If you look closely, sometimes a carrion golem will be doing nothing. Actually it's a problem for any minion build with lots of minions (skele warrior, zombies, DB, AW).

And their HP is kinda low so you need to take care about it (res cap, leech, block too)

The jewels were pretty cheap this league. Just don't buy 20% eminence.

You can also do maps with golem bosses. They will drop div cards like this

I used a low cost carrion build at start of the league. The carrion golems died easily against juiced essences. I fixed the problem with phantasms and life recovery on death notable.

I think bosses always spawn in the high waves. Usually both?

I believe they're guaranteed to spawn on the last wave. For previous waves it's a matter of luck.

I tried again today and they only spawned together two times (waves 24 and 30), but on my previous run they spawned together at least 6 times.

To run simulacrum without changing the build I have 3 recommendations:

1- get as much dps as you can, ideally a +2 duration gems fleshcrafter. Kosis does a spcial move that replenishes his energy shield and if you don't have enough dps you'll never get past it.

2- stay away from the bosses, always keep moving and just keep an eye on the skeleton count so you can summon more as needed, make sure the bosses are cursed

3- pray for easier mods, unfortunately if you get an unlucky roll there isn't much you can do
Sorry to keep bothering you guys but i really need expert help with my build.
Deadanlivin suggested i use Phantasms in my helm, the idea being having 11 x lvl 24 phantasms outweighs having skeleton mages with 1 extra gem support in my helm.
That support would be a lvl 5 awakened GMP.

Also am i better off having my skeletons in my helm rather than in my chest?

I have asked this before and all i got was basically no one runs Phantasms in a helm which really doesn't answer my question.

So drop the phantasms and run aN awakened GMP or just put my skeletons into my chest?

Aim is boss killing.
Also is the +2 to socketed duration gems chest worth the 60ex assuming i use skeletons in my chest?

Sorry for being a pain.

Helm is definitely better than chest for your skeletons.

Should use PoB to check numbers if Phantasms are better than another support.
If I had to guess, Phantasms are still better dps but you should doublecheck to be sure.

If you're running Phantasms, you should replace Pierce with GMP. Phantasms already have inbuilt 100% pierce so they don't really benefit from it. GMP is also better than Pierce for skeletons. For bossing you swap GMP for predator support.

The loss in running Phantasm is that there's a rampup to them. It'll usually take sometime to get them up and running for bosses which can be a big downside. On the other hand, a massive upside is that they're pretty much permanently up when you're mapping which makes mapping more fluid.
Thanks for that Deadanlivin.
Unfortunately hopeless at POB so i come here for expert advice.

Yeah, checking Phantasm dps on PoB is a living nightmare.
If you link your PoB I could put in the correct configurations to see what your numbers are.

(Btw, what spectres are you running?)
