[3.27] Holy Flame Totem Scion -- League Starter -- HC / SSF viable (3.28 viable)

I'm a bit short on free time, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to update the build this league. As far as I can tell, the build is the same (specially the non-suppress trees, since suppress was nerfed) but we get to choose a bloodline ascendancy for uber lab.

I think Lycia's Bitter Heresy looks the best, grants malediction (takes 10% less dmg, deals 10% more damage), curse effect, and 30% phys as extra chaos (probably should find a way convert to fire without Avatar of Fire then). A very endgame version could go crit and fully benefit from the profane ground.

The Farewell to Flesh could be good, maybe, have to check on POB, but bitter heresy looks better. There's a HFT build which uses phantasms to attack, that one would benefit more from this one I think.

Schizophrenic Dissociation from Delirium is like a progenesis, so it could be interesting.

League started it and got Holy Flame of Ire early in the first lab. (Ive been using it and it seems to deal more dmg than normal gem)

So far, doing acts is consistent and comfortable but not that fast (im used on playing trapper/minion for league start)

Im glad I tried this build. Very Good build for a league starter if you are not rushing things. Very relaxing build for a new dad gamer.

Lastly, Im using RF along with flame totem for more dmg since i got more regen from consec ground. Downside is no ancestral bond. (Still contemplating with this if I would go full totems.)

Well, at least 20% damage buff (more with added dmg buff), a placement speed buff, we should still be viable.

Guess people will want to leaguestart scion to use Reliquarian later too. Will see if I can get this guide up-to-date when POB releases (tho I believe it's pretty much usable as is).

Updated trees to 3.27 and endgame to use Lycia bloodline. We can still use regular 3 skill points until we get there, but Lycia is somewhat better.

Just some questions, if you have any insight.
With HFT getting the AoE tag, presumably this won't effect damage and just the consecrated ground?
Are there any good level 1 gems for this build with the new mechanic or do you think 21 HFT would be better? May not matter if I never find one haha.

Correct, AoE is just for consecrated ground. Any free support is better than lvl 21... Best ones are Added Fire, Hypothermia, Cruelty, Immolate, Culling strike
