Hope the guide helps and you have a good league start! Practicing the run ahead of time is the biggest help you can give yourself.

Instead of posting Acts 6-8 this morning I got up very early, analyzed the rest of the run and transferred everything so the entire leveling section with all skill quests and first 3 labs is finished! I did a practice run of Acts 1-3 last night and the route feels amazing (thanks again Tytykiller for sharing this with the community) but the formatting needs some tweaks and colors to help it be easier to follow so I’m really looking to get that revised and try to finish mapping to red maps before launch day. I’ll be tight on time but I’ll try my best. I also revised all leveling trees in the PoB (and made slight edits to end game trees to better prioritize some extra reduced reservation) which are now broken down by when you reach each lab. I still need to test if the transition to BL is smooth, test Phase run for leveling and end game, and figure out flask and gems from patch notes when they’re available. I’m also looking at the transition from Icicle Mines to BL + LMP gem swap for clear, potentially adding Clarity early on if needed due to Arcane Surge nerf and exploring if Lesser Poison is now more DPS than Trap and Mine Damage for the entirety for Stormblast Mine usage. I’ve already edited leveling flask reward choices for the new best choices thanks to Diamond and Basalt flask nerfs, more on that with the patch notes as well.

Had a quick look at the patch notes: WE GOOD!

The change I made preemptively to the end game trees to earlier prioritize mana reservation reduction confirmed my suspicions about mana multipliers being scaled up. I’ll have to check to confirm but we should be fine here but it may be more difficult to manage a transition to Aspect of the Spider and more difficult to manage leftover mana with a full set of mines active to keep increased duration with CWDT/IC. Ball Lightning received 0 direct nerfs. Support gems across the board were affected so we lost a bit of damage—it’s fine. Flask changes gutted Bottled Faith, that one hurts but it’s an end game option so only the top end of the build was affected. Atziri’s Promise, Wise Oak, Jade, and Quartz all took a hit but no big deal. Pantheons will change. Shock and Ignite immunity survived! Enduring Composure survived! Will make tweaks when I can, everything looks ok for now but flasks and possibly support gems could change. More focused on fixed formatting and layout for the leveling guide and finishing mapping section before league start.

This is my plan for Expedition as well, looking forward to it. I’ll probably only be able to play Friday night and Monday morning but such is life. Good luck!

Fixed a pretty big goof in leveling section which pushed BL coming online back a few levels, no biggie but glad I caught it. This is exactly what I'd expect from analyzing a Pyroclast Mine speedrun and trying to theorize how to convert it to BL and why I want to finish testing the route before launch. Also updated PoB again with some changes post patch notes, still some work to do.

A quick run down of the changes in patch notes that will affect us:
TLDR; expect a bit less damage, survival, and mobility (virtually every build in the game got hit harder than us) and a harder time reaching a comfortable amount of mana with full mine stack. I’ve already changed end game trees to account for this but leveling gems are subject to change, I’m not sure about them yet. Increased Duration support may have to be removed or at the least removed if using Aspect of the Spider. Ailments will be harder to deal with. Second Wind, Diamond Flask, and Basalt Flask have been removed, Phase Run has been added. Leveling will be a bit slower, mana will be a bit harder to manage while leveling, and Bleed will be a problem while leveling. Curses will be a problem.

130% to 140% mana multiplier
30-49% more elemental damage to 20-34% more
Awakened 50-54% more to 35-39% more
Awakened quality increased elemental damage 0-20% increased to 0-10% increased

-High-Impact
30% to 50% mana multiplier
30-20% less damage to 35-28% less

-Slower Projectiles
140% to 130% mana multiplier
20-29% more projectile damage to 10-19% more

-Trap and Mine Damage
130% to 140% mana multiplier
10% reduced mine throwing speed to 10% less

-GMP
165% to 160% mana multiplier
Gained 10% projectile damage from quality

-LMP
Gained 10% projectile damage

-Arcane Surge
No longer grants % increased cast speed
No longer grants % of mana regenerated per second, now grants % increased mana regeneration rate

-CWDT
Now has 250% mana multiplier (70 cost for 2 link, 90 cost for 3 link with increased duration with level 1/3 CWDT/Immortal Call)

-Flame Dash
3s CD to 3.5s CD
0.7s cast to 0.8s
47% CD recovery to 19% at level 20

-Smoke Mine
2.5s CD to 5s CD
No longer has CD recovery or inc. AoE
Secondary effect duration 5s to 1s
Base radius of Smoke Cloud from 10 to 18
10% increased MS to 20% increased at level 1, still 29% increased at level 20

-Passives untouched
-Jewels untouched
-Soul of Yugul and Ralakesh buffed for curse and corrupted blood respectively, both significantly better. The latter is almost mandatory until corrupted blood immunity implicit Jewel is acquired.
-Brine King and Arakaali are now signficantly better for freeze and poison respectively.
-Diamond flask and Basalt flasks useless for us now, both will be removed.
-Quartz and Jade nerfed but still good.
-Aquamarine buffed, very good. Will be added.
-Experimenter’s, Chemist’s and Adrenaline nerfed, no longer recommended modifiers.
-Ample Buffed, very good.
-Staunching and Heat nerfed, still fairly good.
-Warding removed. (oof)
-Bottled Faith and Atziri’s Promise nerfed but still fairly good. Both have 1 use instead of 2 but slightly increased duration.
-Wise Oak nerfed but still fairly good
-Forbidden Taste nerfed hard, no longer recommended for leveling.
-The only cluster we were using (Enduring Composure) is unchanged.
-No gem quest reward changes.
-Flask quest rewards have changed. Silver to Jade in act 5, Jade flask to Aquamarine in Act 7, Quartz Flask to Silver flask in Act 10. This also means we can’t drop Frost Bomb prior to Act 10.

I’ve learned a lot too just from constructing it through the research, it was a very fun (albeit frustrating at times) project. Glad it helped at least one person. Don’t forget that everyone collectively is being hit with a lot of changes and kind of going in blind so running into problems should be expected and I’m trying to figure things out as I go as well. Lots of changes will be made in the next few days leading up to launch and I realize having a lot of information is good but the guide desperately needs some changes to wording and formatting to reduce clutter IMO. League start related content is taking priority right now for obvious reasons but I’m having a lot of fun with this so I’ll try my best to get to everything as soon as I can.

E: don’t forget to stop by Tytykiller’s youtube or twitch and give him thanks for the leveling guide as all I did was analyze his run, put it in text format and make some small adjustments to better compliment Ball Lightning in particular. It was a lot of work with limited availability often researching from my phone and transferring here later but without his run it wouldn’t be possible, at least at this efficiency.

PoB community fork got an update, will be looking to update PoB and add entry map and red map trees as well as update leveling guide with better formatting to follow easier (already did some skeleton work in Act 1 so I had color codes and a blue print to reference), and start working on entry map and red map sections all tomorrow morning.
