Game Balance in Path of Exile: Ultimatum

Its game it should be fun, not feel like work, specialy when triing grind chalenge

Geting tired of all nerfs, game balance feels like just make all feel awfull, instead of just let us have fun and fix/improve whats terrible or not so good to be used

top 1% will not care as always, but regulars and no skill players as me will have it hard to leave white maps


This league, when started, I refused to trade crafts, with ssf like mindset ... If not works ssf it sucx, and hopefully they realize it and fix harvest - players abusse trade - lets nerf it even more .... Didnt finished SSF (lvl 100 40/40) even 1 item with perfect rolls myself ...

Because all game corpse mechanics and specialy hated porpucines ... I just stuck on lvl 89 and wasnt possible for me to get xp and lvl up .. till in semi SSF style finaly managed to get explode armour like 1 month in league ... game is now balanced around it to be mandatory (or other corpse removal mechanics) and it get nerfed too? great /s

Just let us suffer, and not have fun, we are all masochists and enjoy it :) right? /s

Still love game, and thx for it, its great, just your balance is bit out of reality, its set on leting us suffer, not have fun.

Specialy love where game heading with keeping all old mechanics, but in way that haters can just skip it and not interact, If they wish (they r still bitter because feel like they missing on something even if they hate mechanics)
Can you please bring synthesys back in delve/heist style too? mechanics after fix was great and fun, just skip craft :) craft and item managment was terrible :)

I like that GGG balance things from the top, that's conviction. I'm pretty sure all the nerfs are needed and will help keep the game healthy.

Looking forward for the patch notes.

So then what the hell is the point of awakening objectives? The increased effect of modifiers on maps was never really noticeable, let alone something to be excited about, to the point where I literally had to look up what the other effect of awakening objectives besides atlas missions even was. In fact, I'm not even sure if increased effect of modifiers on maps is a good thing. Is it?

I feel like, in years past, I used to look forward to balance changes, hoping they would introduce fresh new angles that kept the game interesting. Maybe some underused but fun ability will become viable? Recently, all they do is illicit dread. What thing that I worked hard to achieve (in this case, I finally got around to putting effort into filling out the Atlas, including all the bonus objectives) will have proven to be a waste of time and effort when you take it away?

Can honestly say after last league, then 3 races, then Ritual, I was pretty low ebb at the end of Ritual League.

Ritual itself was garbage, the only good thing was all the Atlas changes and Harvest. At least with Legion, Blight, Syndicate etc etc, there was an end game activity that occurred from running said content, be it Safehouses, Blighted Maps, or Domain of Timeless conflict.

They all had new unique items, powerful, interesting chase items it was worth sinking countless hours into farming. Ritual? no.

The idea that next league is some more Ritual, major sad pants. The idea that I have to face levelling through the acts....boring, unlocking my atlas (maps) tedium, unlocking Rogues, leveling up rogues, booooring. and now unlocking the Atlas passives again on top of all that, well lets just say I was wavering on the precipice of saying farewell to PoE.

Now I come here and read all this (from the Devs) and its the final nail, I simply cannot muster any sort of enthusiasm for Ritual 2 with path of nerfs and path of ever increasing repetition, and of course lets not forget path of bugs, path of crashing, and path of tedium.

So farewell PoE devs, I spent my money, I had my fun, thank you for the hard work.


Yeah I'm thinking along the same lines. This is a PVE/Non competitive game. You are playing against npc's but all I see in this community is just "Ohhh you forgot to nerf this guys fun" or "I can finally enjoy this game thanks to this person's fun being dead". Out of the thousand of hours and dollars I've spent, I can still manage playing a few skills with enjoyment. But each content it progressives towards crap. I truly agree with others that "We are just BETA testing a new core game mechanic every 3 months..." And every "Balancing" is just someones popular fun build getting stomped on. Over and over again. It sucks but I think it is time for me to move on. Good luck you whackos
Why they cant make open Q/A after posting manifesto or patch notes with players? Not with ZiggyD???? U know they can just make some page with collecting all questions of players and answer on mostly liked ones. And i'm sure they gna take a looooot of questions are much sharper then Ziggy does...

It's look like they discuss through each other (playing game few hours of week or not playing at all) and u know, telling each other "Yea guys, that's good, lets do it".

Just lets be honest, ZiggyD is faaaar away from a good player or someone who understand things about game....

And they don't even want to hire anyone not from New Zealand to work and test their game or let them know their mistakes (which is a lot).


U can even read all comments under manifesto, its around 80% negative. (Last league was around 65-75% according to my feelings, yes, i read them all) so it should mean something for them? Or not...
