You need to convocate to notice it.
AG needs to be on top of Skitterbots for it to work since inpulsa only explodes shocked enemies.

One tip is to swap Predator for Feeding Frenzy when clearing on your Crabs to make them aggressive.
This frees up one socket from your zombies.
Use Convocate there.

Of course, I think most people will prefer the ranged spectres anyway.
That being said, everyone should include atleast one Primal Crushclaw in their setup, no matter which version they play.

3 SOs + 1 Crushclaw is the optimal ranged spectre setup as you still get the 50% cold dmg buff for bosses on a ~40% uptime. That's what I was running in my latest SO video and it melted bosses with very unoptimized gear.

What are you lacking? Is it single target dps, clear or survivability?
Looks like you're running very little HP.
Your gear looks very good at first glance since you got quite alot of high end items. For simulacrums specifically though, I think a Victarios Charity might actually still be better since it gives you 3 frenzy and power charges if you're killing things. Your current shield only gives 2/2 with no other beneficial stats.

Honestly, I think Gravebind + Inpulsa actually might be a key component to clearing Simulacrums and other uber content for minion builds after all the nerfs. Not sure since I haven't tried though.

Maybe can try running a sim on my standard character to see how it preforms.

Your carrion golems are doing zero dmg.
You need to get a 21/0 carrion golem gem asap and a +3 helm with minion dmg.
Then your dmg should be high again.

You're also lacking quality on all your support gems. That's atleast a 20% dmg increase.

So if we include a Primal Crushclaw to the ranged SO setup for higher Boss dps, do we keep the support gems or do we need change anything in the setup to optimize it even further?

I feel like my dps is slightly low single target with 4 SO specters is running 4 primal a valid choice

Keep the support gems. The only support gem that does nothing for the Crushclaw is GMP and we swap it for Hypothermia/Added cold damage anyway.

Just need to get a chest and try it out.

Some other changes you really should consider:
- Swap meatshield for elemental army, you don't have any source of exposure on your gear. If you need room for determination, run determination in shield instead of Elemental Army. That way you can run Frostbomb in your offhand and just weapon swap for Frost Bomb against tanky bosses.
- Get lvl 21 carrion golem gem.
- Swap Predator for Elemental dmg with attacks support.
- Get 20% quality on all support gems, ALOT of dmg to get there.

You're also running no curse or Flesh Offering. Assuming you just bought a new wand missing some gems.
