What is beeing smoked at GGG HQ ? O.o maybe time to put down the pipe a lill.
Personaly the reason im still playing this league, and will be playing it untill 3.14 hit; is because we got Harvest back. 2 charachters with great Crafts, Extra crafted items for both. and Plans on making a 3rd characther to craft great near perfected gear for. its because we got Harvest in this great shape, we're all still playing. not had this many active online at this point in a league as i can remember.

well, i guess we should sit out 3.14 , read on reddit how it goes; then maybe come back 3.15 if they make changes to the better again.



I have often stood by you guys in decisions that wasn't popular among the community, but the specific line of removing the possibility to augment influenced items basically means for 90% of the playerbase you just made harvest craft redundant and its back to hoard exalts to buy items again. Or at best spam reforges and then yolo conqueror exalt slam, where the results definitely are worse then what you get for just hoarding your exalts and buying proper items.

I agree that there should be some rng to the system but not a single soul in this game besides maybe the standard crafters enjoy the random exalt slam, there are way to many shitty modifiers in this game to ever make it feel worth using an exalt on any item regardless if its during leveling or high-end crafting as you are typing now. The problem in PoE isn't that Harvest was completly batshit OP in Ritual (it was in Harvest league but not here) it's that every other crafting system in the game is extremly old, cumbersome and for 99.9% of the players useless. Fossilcrafting was decent when it had some fossil specific mods, these days the only purpose fossil spamming serves is if you have like 300+ lined up and trying to hit something like 3 high tier fire mods on a weapon (and oh boy is the resonator mechanic totally amazing and fun), to solve the resonator problem you could just add a crafting interface at niko or something where you preload the amount of resonators you would use and have 1-4 fossil slots where you can place stacks of fossils that you are going to consume, this would save both the super annoying effort to stack up 100+ fossils in resonators and actually make the system more usable. And since you are gutting Harvest to the ground you might as well add the fossil specific mods back into the pool because even with this change I propose for the resonator issue there is still barely any reason to use fossils except the few extremly niche uses of abyss socket and vaal modifiers.

If all you did was to remove the targeted annuls this nerf would have been perfectly acceptable, that craft is what makes harvest OP, the ability to constantly save an item when you hit the wrong mod. Like have your internal devteam actually played the full league and tried to make items in the 100-200 ex range even or just done it in a simulator? The real problem is that Harvest is needed for the sole reason that we have so many shitty modifiers with so many shitty tiers, exalt crafting could be exciting but then you remember that you will hit 17 mana, 9 int, t5 stun and block recovery etc.....

For once I'm extremly disappointed GGG, really hope you revise this plan or this game will become very boring and back to the state where you finish the league with 40 challenges after 1 month and then quit the game for 2 months until the next league, the only 2 leagues I played more or less the distance (after reaching 40 challenges) was Harvest and this current league, item crafting is a core part of the game and nobody wants it to be like pre-harvest or in Heist where most players save exalts to buy stuff on the trading post, I really hope you don't actually believe that there is any way that you will ever make exalt slamming with this current large modpool exciting for anyone (and the rarity of exalts), if you do you are really out of touch with your own game and I never thought I would say that about you guys......
i started to actual like the game again because of harvest. this is horrible decision.
ANOTHER USELLES ABYSS MECHANIC IN TO THE GAME . THANX , ATLEAST I WILL HAVE FREE TIME NEXT LEAGUE
I was really confused how harvest got implemented into 3.13 initially and happy to see this manifesto.
Wer nichts weiß, muss alles glauben.
This is sad day.
For first time in YEARS of playing PoE I felt like I can engage with crafting and put my knowledge to use.

The desires for my items felt like quests, a journey to embark on. Knowing each step of the journey was a little achievement by itself.
Taking these steps, and seeing how my effort bear fruit was satisfying.
I knew that after putting effort to taking certain steps, I will be rewarded with certain things.

And now I read the GGG is taking step back, to dark ages of crafting.
To crafting where people can spend weeks of playing, and get nothing.
Is that disappointment worth the few moments when elites beyond the abilities of player who put 4 thousands hours into this game worth it? Seeing how only chosen ones succeed while the rest don't even try?


If that is the Path of Exile you want to make... Good for you. But it is not a game I am willing to support. As it is essentially just a gambling simulator with extra steps.
This reminds me of the old days when they decided to remove eternal orb.
You need to understand that Chris had his idea of currency being used for crafting.
Now, let me give you an example.
Imagine a vending machine that takes coins.
And then all of a sudden you can get the stuff from it jsut by putting round plastic shit.
Same thing here, Chris is bitter that his original idea is not being implemented.
And let me tell you something.
I have been in PoE for over 7 years, never have I crafted using exalts, maybe a slam here and there,, that is not crafting, that is gambling.
All in all, GGG does not listen to the community any more, we have to accept it or try a different game.
But after this, nothing will ever be the same for GGG, that I can guarantee
'nerf' so in others words, you destroyed it, ok ok
