HC league level 91. I have around 15-18ex in my inventory now from my blight map farm. And i have no idea how to spend it wisely. What should i start with any advice? You can check my tree and clusters in profile. Thanks in advance!
Which gems should I first concentrate on for quality?
Also I have enough to buy either a 21/23 Vaal Summon Skeleton (I already have a 21/0) or an anointed +1 intelligence gem. Which would give me the best bang for the buck?
When you get gems to level 20, sell to vendor with a GemCutters Prism, this will give you back a level 1, quality 20 gem, then level that up.
DO that for all gem.
Since you already have a 21/0 skel gem, go for the +1 INT gems ammy.

I'm not very experienced player, but i like experiments.
Skeletons are cool, but at one point I wanted to have strong zombies. So I decided to buy a 6-link staff.
To this I decided that it is not bad to have ghosts, because Frost Auto Scout should work well on 4 links.
For movement I wanted to use the leap slam, but I also need a phase run for easy movement in the delve. It came out of the boots.
Then I realized that I had nowhere to put the bone offerin and desecrate. The choice fell on the glove - I combined immortal call, desecrate, bone offering and cast when damage taken. It's worse than "trigger socketed spell when you use a skill", but better than nothing.
In rings, I decided to use profane proxt with elemental weakness and ring with socket for skitterbots.
This is also a test version: D I plan to buy better armor and gloves Breathstealer Hydrascale Gauntlets
Do you think this is the case or did I do something stupid?
Its a completely different build.
But it looks fine.
The only glaring thing is the use of empower in the staff.
Is that because its hard to color it 5b/G?
Because empower is really only good if its in a +1 socketed gems item.
Running a 21/0 skelly gem. Priced the 21/23 earlier today starting at 100 c, which is far more than I have after earlier investments. Bought a 1/23 for 8c and will run it up, athough if prices stay at 100 c......
My life is about 3800 and running level 7 right now. Someone mentioned in an earlier post that had gotten to over 6000 life. What is a good life target ?
Get a high life roll on every rare.
I have 5.3k life right now.
No life on my helm or chest.
Need some clarification on this I guess because I got a Dead Reckoning Jewel and never summon anymore than 6 skeletons no matter the circumstance do I have a broken gem?

The intelligence does not have to be allocated.
You need to socket the jewel in the passive tree in any socket that has 40 int nearby.
Since we are Witch, ALL of the sockets in our area of the tree have 40 int nearby.
So, path to jewel socket in the tree, and plop that jewel in.

I have never played hard core, so I dont know about items to make you invincible.
I do know skel dps.
A corrupted chest with +2 duration gems
A convoking wand with +1 all spell gems, +1 all minion gems, and some other minion mods.
I'm playing this build a bit differently but it's because of your build guide I've chosen skeles, so first of all thanks.
It's definitely a pretty strong league starter, I must've spent maybe 4 or 5ex on my current gear and I'm cruising through T14 to 16.
I've just done Sirus A5, was pretty chill even tho I'm lacking on single target, I agree with you than min/maxing will cost way too much but it was pretty fun so far and definitely a strong mapper.

Yeah its socketed in my passive tree, I'm saying I never get 15 skeletons it's always just 6.
