Game Balance in Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas
I am very thankful to PathOfExile for one thing:
- I have learned what is "whiteknight" here. Whitekinght is kind of person, which will protect on all cost something which could be absolutely problematic for everyone including him, anyway he will do it, because he will some sort of believing that this will give him some sort of profit. Anyway this never happens, and he is only destroying the fun for the rest and himself. Maybe this is a medical condition - I am not an expert in the field. ANYWAY Looking at the graphics, and the spikes of PoE when it were offering real fun, and the flat graphic now - i am more and more convinced that I am correct. - The fun was destroyed somewhere in PoE 2.2 by reason unknown, or.. actually known - greed maybe ?! Since then we are observing the repeative behavior of "destroy the fun for the everyone, and let them try to rebuild it". I have one big news - We are playing this not because it's fun anymore. The fun is long gone with the destructive behavior we are facing in each update. We are playing this mostly because still we have have no other funny thing to play yet. I was silenced for telling the name of USA president for 40 days. I was silenced for stating "I am Jesus" for 5 days. Maybe it is time the deeds of the moderators to become public, so peoples understand that they hired a cheap mods which enforcing their "woke" agenda on players. " This is so true, I am myself still playing poe because there is no other good hack and slash games to be found. But I swear the day a good hack and slash come, cya poe forever. The game is so obnixious atm, GGG have a such elistic view of the game, only 12h+ per day players can access to end game and screw all other filthy stupid casual ! No fun allowed, only struggles and one shot, nothing to see here, keep spam your flask while playing meta build while you can, filthy peasant, the next patch will destroy you. GGG don't want the playerbase having fun, they want us to struggle and poe.trade for hours. The game is ATM a grindfest on low maps then a grindfest on poe.trade to just begin able to play the game. You want to kill a boss ? sorry, you didn't spend enough time on poe.trade and your crafting bench. You want to kill things and have fun ? poor thing ! here, take some more crafting sessions and trading sessions, and maybe, the very day where you will be able to tank a single hit in red maps and kill an end game boss, take you nerf bitch and do it all over again with your next build. |

Spent lot of time and currency to min/max my build, now it will be unplayable... Why nerf legacy clusters in standard, that's not right at all.

I really hope GGG reconsider the excessive nerfs to Necromancer and Spectre raise level. You are hurting ALL builds that are under played or balanced already. Just nerf the damage only, They of Tul I understand. SO's I understand. But don't nerf everything just because of a couple of broken things, what about the people that use other non meta spectres as a form of defence etc that already sometimes die in the higher content.
You're taking away what little diversity the non meta builds have. Show some love to Melee skeletons but perhaps change the way impale works on them since imo its IMPALE that needs balancing. Don't crap on SRS like this as well....honestly its sad. Impale clearly needs to be balanced a bit, change the way its used on minions perhaps. Spectre's do not need a lvl nerf PLZ reconsider the impact that has on other non op builds. Maybe change individual Monsters once revived..... So... after almost 4 years of playing all leagues, i am considering to skip my first one on 3.13..
This "balance" changes are not a good way to go, in my opinion. I understand that Aura Stackers and some minion builds were OP, and that the objective was to add more dificulty/diversity until you reach the final encounters without instantly destroying all the content. But nerfing removes options (different than what GGG advertises on wanting all builds to be viable, especialy in a league that is expected to turn late game content a real challenge even for experienced players). You could only buff the skills you want to be seen played more often, and raise the minion/bosses difficult on late game overall, but nerfing specific builds removes options, in builds that already take a lot of time and currency (already overpriced by the meta) to get to that states. So i can see some reasons why this is not a good approach: 1 - Players are more and more forced to play builds that GGG wants to see (ex.: Scorching ray) instead of users being able to choose based on their preferences, and i normally tested different builds between different leagues, just not the ones i am TOLD to. 2 - The "balancing" you do affects always the same group of people. Currency flippers, 3rd party currency site buyers and a few others will always dodge this nerfs and manage a way of influence the market/economy in a way that 80% (i would say) of the players will never be able to evolve/succeed or consider trying specific builds. To end, if after all this "balances" you don't manage to have a stable league, PoE is done. |

as a casual nerfs or buffs in general are not so important untill i can find a build that matches time spent with my goals for the league(usually a8 sirus deathless and endgame of league mechanichs) so i will wait 1 weak or 2 to see whats on the dish but this will shorten my play time for sure WidepepoSadge

" I've read absolutely ALL the posts on this thread and the existing cluster jewels nerf has never been confirmed. This is something assumed by players because the retro nerf to Replicas Alberon has been confirmed. The question asked for Alberons has been answered by an official really fast, the question for clusters has been asked again and again and there was no confirmation about it (yes or no), so I guess this is still a pending decision. But in standard, where people got legacy ES equipment with 600+es shields and such, why nerfing aura stacker clusters ? And even those legacy clusters will suffer anyway because First among equals and Stalwart commander will be nerfed (I use them a lot on my clusters). Also what I dont understand is why nerfing again selfcurse ? The build is complete niche, we can even see on this tread that BARELY ANYONE is complaining about the curse clusters nerf, showing how much the usage of those clusters was ridiculously low. Too bad in heists I've done 3 builds : CoC Assassin, Selfcurse Occultist, Aurastacker. FeelsBadMan |
