Will trinity support actually work well?

After looking at it i dont yet see the benefit for the current build. It gives a maximum of 30% more elemental damage, which does not justify a slot on the 6link. However, perhaps if i end up trying a bow version, it may work with some items causing automatic attacks - i will experiment at some point.

Did you actually check the gem reveals? At max resonance, trinity gives 20% ele pen and anywhere between 25-50% ele dmg, depending on what max resonance actually is.
Welcome to Wraeclast... Well what are you waiting for?
Time To WRECK SHIT

flame totem - knockback + max dodge chance = NANANANANANANA CANT TOUCH THIS

I think that GGG said in twitter that maximum resonance is 50, giving, with 2 elements 50% more elemental damage, 10% increased elemental damage(quality) and 30% penetration of elemental resistance. I think that is a good gem for elemental hit, but pehaps for the melee version no, and is better for a bow version
I may pick this as my starter tonight.

What weapons do you recommend for starting out with this build?

I think i misunderstood how the gem works. Assuming 50 resonance is max, this would enable us to get up to 60% more elemental dmg, with 10% ele pen, as far as i can see. This is a very very good gem then. I believe Ruthless will be the gem that is cut from the 6 link in this case.

I suggest you start as a regular Golemancer, e.g. Fire Golems, Stone Golems or Ice Golems. There should be plenty of guides on those builds if you look around a bit.
Having trouble accessing the passive tree in POB. is there one that doesn't use POB?

I uploaded a new POB with the Trinity support (yielding +3 million dps).
If you are still having trouble, try and look up my Elementalist lvl 97 character in standard.

I strongly recommend getting POB working though :-)
Hey man. Thanks for the guide. Couple of questions here.

1) with the ability for golems to resummon themsevles. Do we really benefit from having meat shield or minion life as a support for them?

2) Is Bastion of Elements defensiveness of Primal Aegis (roughly 3k shield) still outweighing the added dmg from either Shaper of Storms or Heart of Destruction?

1. I think that for 95% of content, you are correct, we do not need meat shield and minion life. But i avoid gem swapping as much as possible, and in softcore i end up doing the last 5% content quite often :) You should not strictly follow my build, you can tailor it a bit to your own needs.

2. This is a difficult question to answer. I believe that it is, but i will need to actually play around with the aegis mechanic a bit to see if it really does.
I am now using a storm cloud and its going decent. Will swap to melee later, probably with prismatic eclipse sword at 53.

Few questions:
Does a weapon with various ele dmg work (like + 1 - 10 lightning damage)?
Does flat ele dmg mess up EE?
Does global phys do anything for us, or how do we scale damage? Just with AS?
Any suggestions / examples on good starter gear?

So you guess I am struggling most on what is beneficial for our damage. You already mentioned ingame to me doomfletch for example does not work (gain % from random element as dmg).

For what i understood untill now this are the answers for you:
1- It works 1/3 of the time, when Elemental hit choses the element you have.
2- It works same as above so it wont mess up anything;
3- You deal pure elemental damage, unless you have a way to convert this phys damage to element it wont have any impact. Again this conversion will only take action when the element is chosen by the skill;
4- %elemental damage, Bow/sword damage, Projectile damage, attack speed... this are some of the things that can increase your damage.

Doomfletch actualy works but is not beneficial because only works 1/9 of the times, because it chooses the element randomly so does elemental hit.
