Skill Feedback
Sigil of Power - The blue effect added to mobs affected by the stage four damage reduction behaves very poorly with some mob models, especially small mobs such as (in this example) Cave Wetas. With a large Sigil and many mobs it's all just blue goop making you unable to see diddly-squat. Last edited by twitticles#7701 on Sep 22, 2020, 6:40:42 PM

" "Why have them in the first place?" is the actual question if you have to both tone them down a lot and make the on death effect conditional. Bearers are a good example of visual telegraphing but having that telegraphing to all of the on death effects put in the game would make it even more a visual clutter than there already is. | |
Playing self cast Blazing Salvo it is a big problem that there is a minimun projectile distance for the projectiles, specially when you are using unleash. It also seems like the damage could be higher, either the base or added effectiveness.
It seems like the skill is doing amazing with mines tho, which is weird considering the way the skill was advertised. |

" Aight bex, you asked, so here ya go! Only new skill I care about atm is BS, aka Blazing Salvo. First and foremost, the #1 thing I want for this skill is a Celestial or Nightfall mtx for it. (I have an urgent neeeeed) okay, but seriously as far as how the skill feels, I've yet to make it to maps, but I've been leveling with the skill as soon as I was able to acquire it. I'm currently using spell echo + pinpoint + intensify. I currently have 60% inc aoe from the tree, and I have that gawd awful pendulum elementalist node. My cast time is roughly .29secs according to the tooltip. My initial thoughts when I first started using this skill was that it'd feel great once fully kitted out and I could definitely see it being a great skill.... then I learned that it was bugged and wasn't scaling from proj AND aoe dmg modifiers. so I swapped from pinpoint/intensify to GMP/inc aoe until yesterday, when the patch hit that fixed it's scaling Over all tho? the skill simultaneously feels really good, and super clunky. Like, clunky clunky. the minimum cast range on it makes it really frustrating when mobs come up to give you their super spiky hugs of death. additionally, I lowkey hate that the proj gain aoe as they travel. while I understand the logic behind it, to help smooth out how it feels at range, it just feeds into making melee BS feel bad, as with enough aoe investment, I can get almost the same amount of overlap at range as I can up close. If ya'll could equalize the aoe a bit, that'd be great. (also, NOWHERE in the tooltip or on the gem does it indicate that it gains aoe as it travels!!!!) as for damage, I cannot speak about how that feels as of yet. but, I can def see it being difficult to scale it's damage for self casting in the late game, as it has low added effectiveness, and already comes with so many extra proj that each additional proj added is seeing reduced returns for investment. Not to mention it's a fire spell, and imo those are the hardest to scale well, as you get so very little benefit from stuff like added fire dmg and HoA (yes, I know HoA now has a small bit of more fire spell dmg, but the rest of HoA kinda sucks) but I'ma stick with it for as long as I can. I enjoy blasting mobs at range. And I've been trying to use firewall to get some boosted dps in there. (speaking of fire wall. it does NOT last long enough for me to sit there and dps if I'm using it as just a support skill) Final Observations: BS is a fun skill to use, but feels like it's being held back by a few things. most notably being it's inconsistency at melee range, and it lacking viable means to effectively scale it's dmg as a self casting option (most firespells have this issue imo, but the fact that it is a multi-hitting spell means you can't even try to lean into ignite as a supplement) PS: I'm serious bout dat Celestial Blazing Salvo mtx tho. You gotta hit me up wit dat good stuff, ya know? (alternatively, I'll take a sunprism or illusionist "magic missile" style mtx too) |

Hi team,
I'm a filthy casual that plays off and on. I played a decent amount on launch weekend. Started as a crack lance inquiziboi (character name crack_crack_crack_crack). I made it to blood aqueducts before giving up and panic rerolling. As a filthy casual, here are my thoughts on the skill: - damage is ok, especially when intensity is stacked up. levelling was a bit rough, but i think with some investment it would be perfectly acceptable. - cast speed is pretty low, which means intensity stacks are slow and lowish damage is exacerbated - intensity doesn't build on spell echo, so you have to choose between a faster effective cast rate or some other damage link, but either way there is no faster way to get intensity - you have to stand still to keep intensity which makes you vulnerable during boss fights (when you want intensity the most) - frost shield / sigil of power did not make me feel safe enough to hold still and keep intensity Not sure what the solutions are. I'll leave that up to you folks. My first thoughts are chance to gain extra intensity on the tree or you do not lose intensity when you are focused. I don't want the solution to just be face tank it, but bossing is just not feasible IMO. Ty for the great game! |

Instead of changing waypoint position to leave heist wouldn't be possible to add a bind for /hideout in settings menu? Would cover many other cases in the mean time.
