Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?

How about a currency that target crafts? An add remove fire orb etc. I will miss harvest this was fun.

Why do you care about the top end of gameplay so much? That was part of Harvests big problem, it only really worked before part 2 and after all the content was trivialized. You left out the majority of the game where it would actually be a useful alternative to trading.

For once, I enjoyed engaging with item crafting in Path of Exile. My hope is that the 3.12 mechanics will be as rewarding if not more so than Metamorph or Delirium. Going back to Alt/Chaos & Regal/Exalt crafting slot machine mechanics will cause me to disengage with crafting again.

It's definitely true that being able to trivially slam chaos res on every piece wasn't particularly interesting and was almost surely too powerful.

But as a non-hardcore player with limited playtime, it was fantastic to be able to actually interact with crafting for a change -- it's fun to figure out all the interactions and orders-of-operation and actually end up with an item that you're happy to use! Way more interesting than slamming a zillon alts or chaos or exalts or whatever (most of which I never had the $$$ for before).

So I totally get why it needs to get toned down, or at least have some of the overpowered edges sanded off, but it's no coincidence that this was my favorite league that I've had the most fun with progression-wise. It's going to feel pretty bad to go back to the way that it was, so I hope GGG finds some way to incorporate more directed methods of crafting in future leagues.
Well GGG as player POE for 8 years I can say I have seen a lot of things come and go.
Ultimately I play POE to be ENTERTAINED, this game is my entertainment! For me a time to come together after a day of work and enjoy some friends in a atmosphere called Wraeclast. Even though there are mixed feelings about Harvest league, you gave us this during a tough time in the world, Covid19 was on all of our minds. You gave us something that got our minds to stop thinking about this pandemic, and for a few months, we were given, "the golden goose" of a crafting league.
I would agree with others that this league truly enabled us to craft GOD TIER items with little effort, and minimal currency needed. You spoiled us, entertained us, and gave us a fun distraction from all the uncertainty out-there. I personally have enjoyed Harvest league, but do agree its just TOO GOOD in its current state to be included in the CORE game. Granted I will miss the freedom to modify any mods on any (rare) item I freely chose, but "the balance of power" with these type of items created just tips the scale to hard.
It may be hard to go back to exalt slamming, but having a great item, or a GOD TIER item, should be rare for a reason.

After already 600 hours this league again, I just say, scrapping harvest was one of Your worst decisions for a long time GGG.

Writing it down for the last time; yes, seed crafts could be strong, but their availability was rare and it was still heavily luck based.

All people complaining it was too easy to get godly items are eiter did not crafted anything by themselves (just seen some highlights) or bought / got the target crafts, dozens and hundreds of them.

I do not say, seed crafts are not powerful enough, but only a very very few of them, what You get very very rarely, then You will still fail most of the attempts.

For instance, I self made my whole gear this league, my pretty okay but far from perfect gear, took me the whole first 4.5 weeks, that is, around 400 hours, just for one character, and took me around 24000 self farmed T1 seeds, and a couple thousands more T2-T4 for resist swaps, fractures, influences, etc. And to add that, for instance, just my shield ate around 30-35 replace X to X crafts, and finally still settled on T2 life and T4 lightning resist, as could not hit higher lightning resist than T4 in 14 replace lightning attempts.

Yes, I play a lot, all alone, not a well fed streamer or partier, and this is what this kind gets.

Or for a more accurate numbers, I noted the results of my latest 7418 i81-83 non-socket T1 seeds. I harvested them 360 per run, I got 23 augment, 32 remove and 52 replace X to X, that is, 107 (1.442%) usable crafts. And You are going to fail most of those 1.4%, and will need a lot more attempts stat by stat.

I managed to make 3 (three) items with it, and still stopped again on some T2 and T4 stats after several unsuccessful (T8, T9, T5, T6, etc) replaces.

Not to mention, recently restarted in hardcore, and experienced the same as the beginning: up to act 8, crafts are brutally powerful, You are constantly getting 4-6 augment / remove / replace per 24 seed, constantly getting non-X to X socket colour change. Then You arrive to act 9, You know, to quarry, and all of the sudden, You are getting the 1.4% from that point, 0-2 crafts per 3 full fields.

So, yes, seed crafts can be powerful, but still very rarely available then still heavily luck based.

For me, RIP PoE after this league without seed crafts avaliable, I a lone player for instance absolutely not interested in the earlier 100%-shit-luck-craft-fest and just-buy-all-shit-fest.
All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.
So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0.
All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this.
