Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?

However, at the top end of gameplay, Harvest has made it too easy to gain very powerful items that previously required a lot more work and investment to acquire.

You shouldn't care this. The top-end players less than 0.1% of all destroy the game by getting crazy gear in any league.

In comparison to that degree of negative impact, Harvest has benefited the vast majority of players who have never been able to craft practical gear on their own.

Even if Harvest doesn't go to the core, you should offer a similar crafting system in the future. Having a way for all players to update their gear on their own will also improve the current game trend where trade dependence is too strong.

I don't want to go back to league where cannot even create PDPS500 2h-Axe even if melted 1000+ chaos.
Harvest should not go core, its way too powerful and as we saw it removed tons of players this league very fast.

By no means am I a hardcore top tier player, but the item market was completely messed up this league. Everything was far too accessible and only the best of the best items could actually be moved. Some of the deterministic crafting would be nice to have available through other means as a major reward, but this league just had way too much.

I'd be curious to see if a deterministic crafting system tied to an "Exclusive" tag would be better. You can customize and craft effective gear for yourself, but it would carry no economic value as it couldn't be traded (I believe they call it soulbound in some MMOs? or some such?).

They cite specifically issues with the in-game economy, and this adds a very effective sink while still allowing for an effective market, while reducing the ever-present cyclical nature of RNG crafting.

Even if you can't sell the item, the amount of people self crafting will still have a large effect on the economy. It would be EXTREMELY difficult to sell non harvest gear when everyone is making their own harvest gear.
Well the next league is gonna suck.
I feel like this never should have been a league to begin with. Normally I play leagues for the interesting, fun new content that comes with them, but Harvest didn't come with any of that.

Harvest just gives you more powerful equipment than normal, but I already have powerful equipment on Standard, so why bother playing the league? Harvest is much better as a core mechanic.

As an SSF player, I'm also always sad to see decisions made around the "item economy", but I guess I'm in the minority there.
So basically you need to reinvent the wheel on Harvest, because 1% of the population after weeks of RNG managed to make items that were better than what it takes the same 1% to do with 10x the same currency ...because RNG.

Meanwhile, harvest, as it is right now ( minus the garden part ) works 100% fine for the other 99%.

This game.....
I heard Harvest crafting is broken from a few players in game, but I think that
mostly apply to those who invest a lot of time in this game to learn the mechanics of crafting

For more casual players who is kinda sorta understanding of it and just started playing last league, I have no idea. I crafted some okay gear, watched some youtube videos but not enough time or interest to learn how to ubercraft.
Not Pog :<
so much salt...

consider this: ggg wants to maintain the 13 week league cycle and they are also waaaay behind with poe2. they can't afford a single minute to spend thinking about or actually integrating harvest if they want to ever get back on track. they outlined from the very start that this was an experiment and will likely not go core.

i'm curious, though, how much database storage is used for this that causes problems. or maybe it's not the volume, but retrieving all the horti stations, garden setups and a billion seeds in the stash that cause many smaller hits on the database. interesting aspect.
