Can someone please tell me, why so many people are building crit and crit multi, while using an EO base? Is there something I'm missing here? IIRC isn't building crit completely pointless when going EO?

Hi, some people go for Elemental overload, some doesn't. What are the pro and cons of each ? it's only about the price because you need many crit multi jewels ?

EO is a lot cheaper and can still reach perfectly acceptable damage levels. You don't have to use points pathing to Arcane Potency/Annihilation/Heartseeker (whichever of those you might choose to grab) and you don't have to invest in crit multi jewels.

When considering damage you have to compare your crit effect mod to EO's multiplier of 1.4 (look at crit section in calculations tab for BV.) If it's higher than 1.4 you will do more damage in a vacuum. You have to also consider though that by grabbing points for crit on tree you are passing up having more life which will save you from oneshots and more mana/mana recovery which will make your Indigon do more damage.

You probably need a crit effect mod above 2 to pass the single target damage of an EO setup like TheBlindSaint's because of Indigon scaling. You don't really need the extra damage at the moment because the build is very strong - see their >1k Aul kill videos. You can build however you want.

Elevated mana recovery mod on chest and using more than 2 sets of mana flask clusters. There's always a balance between damage and survivability. You can do whatever feels good to you.

I feel like I've messed up somewhere, the survavibility is awful, the damage is medium at best. I know my gear is not mirror worth, but still.
