Hi, first thing, when i looked at the pob is an outdated Atziris Promise. When you remove that you loose almost 30% of your damage.


The tree I'm working with now doesnt have that, rest will be changed ASAP.

I was looking to leaguestart SB, and I really liked this guide. My question is: isn't it somehow better to change to Inquisitor, since most SB nodes moved closer to Inquisitor?

We also get a free chain, right, now?
2. Leveling

This will show what I used and how I specced while levelling a simulated leaguestart. We go life and armour at first while gathering gear for LL, if you have gear already feel free to skip this section and level however you want. I had a very easy time through the acts following this path.

Act 1

Storm brand is available near the end of this act, before that I used freezing pulse. Dont level your arcane surge gem because brands have a low mana cost.

The town vendors will often have 2 and 3 link blue socket wands for you to buy so check back every level. Flame totem + added lightning helps a lot with our single target dps.


Act 2

We pick up herald of lightning in this act plus 2 very strong supports. You can also start levelling herald of ice in a weapon swap at this point.

Act 3

We can get life leech in this act, to link with either storm brand or our herald for some sustain. I had it linked to the herald. When you run first lab put the first 2 ascend points in Harmony of Purpose.



Act 4-6

---CWDT---

Adding a CWDT setup in act 4 gives us some defense. Make sure your buying all the aura's needed later to level now as it really helps smooth the LL swap.

When you run second lab take Radiant Crusade, make sure you set up the CWDT+golem so you get the 10% more damage from it.


Act 7-10


The third and fourth lab runs can wait until getting through acts, they dont benefit us much before going LL anyway.

Since of the coming release 3.16...
These leveling "paths" are abit different since a full rework of the tree.

I also slap in smite for a free extra added lightning support if you don't mind the extra button.
Havent played this before, but have decided to league start this. Made a POB with leveling trees based on the leveling section if anyone is interested. Tried to keep stats roughly the same as 3.15 levelling

well, nevermind. I started working on a POB before Velyna updated her's. And of course mine is NO WHERE NEAR as good! :)

Here's my take on the League Start POB without delving too much in to masteries or other optimizations yet. I just start poking at this today, so there's probably a lot more to do. :)

General Tree changes:
  • +28% SPELL Block (takes us over the 50% mark with Glancing Blows)
  • +308 ES
  • ... but a bit less Life
  • It is a bit less damage at the moment (~118k each) ... which is still decent with 2 attached to single target.
  • Added Vitality aura to bring Life Regen up > 400 but POB does not show the effect of Life Mastery "Regen 2% life per second while moving" -- may be overkill on life regen(?)
  • Needed more points ... so I Added EO and removed most Crit nodes -- at ~6.6 Hit Rate and ~7% crit chance -- should still see crits every ~2 seconds which is fine for EO to give us the 40% MORE


Only added 3 Masteries:
  • Life -- Regen 2% of life per second while moving
  • Life -- 10% increased max life; 10% reduced life recovery rate
  • Armour and ES -- Increases and Reductions in Armour also apply to ES Recharge rate at 20% their values (not implemented in POB so do not have the calcs yet on the impact here)

Vel's build always works. Never tried her ice crash, was gonna level a mana guardian this league and start as this.
