It probably requires some tweaking in your cluster jewels, with reduced reserved mana for any of our auras. I have self-control for example which gives 30% reduced mana reserved for discipline.
I would say that "pure might" or "pure Guile" are better options, they give 20 str or dex on top of reduced mana reserved for purity of fire or ice.

My Impale chance is currently at 150. 40 from impale skill gem, 40 from two rotten claw nodes, and 70 from dread banner.
I can right now take off impale skill gem and add damage on full life, correct? I would be at 110 to impale if I did that.
Then once I get my alt quality dread banner leveled up, I could take away one of those rotten claw node as well, right? Because alt dread banner should be at 85% with our non-curse effect, and the other rotten claw being 20% would put me at 105% chance to impale.
I'm pretty sure this is correct, but don't want to scuff my build over it.

Yup, everything you said was correct, and it won't ruin your build to be even at 90% impale chance. There is a very good argument for using the Anomalous dread banner (over the Divergent one) for the juicy 6% less damage taken. That puts you at 90% impale chance. But yes, with Divergent Dread banner and one rotten claws, you'll be capped on impale chance.

If you would take a 60,000 damage hit with 90% resists. You would take 6000 damage. The same hit at 85% resists would hit you for 9000

I can tank a shaper beam and slam, so I think I'm good. Most of my deaths are from physical or corrupted blood, especially a group porcupine goliaths are a pain in the ***.
Thanks to my variant of the build with ES on hit I rarely lose ES. ;)
Get rotten claws on (large) cluster jewels instead of feasting fiends (keep others). Then replace impale with damage on full life.
Get Vaal haste, as an extra dmg boost.
Get a better watcher's eye with ES regen while affected by discipline.
Rearrange your spectres, they should be linked with blood magic, IF you're using carnage and host chieftains. Their mana pool is so low that the frequency of casting their power and frenzy charge buff is way too random and almost never happens.
Your current setup is 4M dps (per golem) in POB, without animate guardian buffs, so with it probably around 4.5-5M
Another option is to reroll to my variant, which currently sits at 8M dps per golem and the QOL to curse, shock and gain ES on hit, with one button (cyclone). It requires quite some currency though.
Since POB pastebin link are still broken, the (POB) code is a few pages back.
Rearranged spectres to gloves + added 4 lvl empower, now i have 24 lvl Vitality :D
Now thinking about switching to Damage on full life, it costs about 44ex )

You could lower those 44EX by only getting 1 rotten claws (on cluster jewels) and getting a divergent dread banner to get 100% impale (see previous posts made by sumfight).
Then recolor your shavs on crafting bench, will cost A lot of Vaal orbs
and chromatics, RNG for the win... but doable.
I doubt a watcher's eye with all three mods exist in heist league if they do, they probably go for 2-3 mirrors...
I would drop phasing or look for other useful mods.
