book marked!!!! Thank you.

On option 2, step7, what is the reason you have to craft "prefixes can not be changed" if it was already crafted in step 4? Does the harvest craft remove that?

Yw! You're correct. The harvest craft will change all suffixes and "prefixes cannot be changed" is a suffix so it gets removed.
Hi,

Can we have in leveling section a Gear section for leveling ? Thanks !

Hello, if you are league starting this build, the only real gear tip is this:

==========

Keep your eye out for any ruby rings either by a vendor or on the ground and save them.

When you can, you want to perform the following recipe twice

Magic Wand - Orb of Alteration - Ruby ring.

This will provide you a spell damage wand with a single stat of "adds fire damage to spells"

If you dual wield these, your leveling experience will be significantly smoother.

=======

If not league starting then the normal leveling uniques every build uses are recommended.
Ok thanks !
Andy's suggestion is good, but note that there are 3 ranks of that recipe, with more damage and higher level requirements, based on the rarity of the ring you use.

Here is the vendor recipe page: https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Vendor_recipe_system

The weapon must be of magic rarity.
Normal ring - tier 8 damage mod - level requirement 8
Magic ring - tier 7 damage mod - level requirement 14
Rare ring - tier 6 damage mod - level requirement 20

Incinerate is an very powerful spell but you need cast speed and AOE for it to feel good, which you don't have while leveling. Before 3.17 I would just use scorching ray/arcane surge/infused channel to level, but scorching ray wasn't buffed along with other spells. You might consider using arc or storm burst (see that wiki for the recipe for a +lightning dmg wand) instead, along with orb of storm. If you use storm burst, use physical->lightning gem when you get it. Make sure to level the incinerate gem in some slot though, or your swap weapon.

Holy flame totem are also an incredible leveling tool, the life regen is very helpful, does good damage and sometimes distracts the butcher XD

For level 1-12 a personal strategy I use is that I actually always create a shadow first, get cobra lash as first quest reward, do the island quest to get quicksilver and volley, then I create my real league starter. Cobra lash + volley is extremely good because it bounces around the mobs and is very mana efficient, and you get an extra quicksilver for your leveling. I do not care about rushing to endgame though but if you are asking about how to level you probably dont either :D

If you are doing elementalist (and I believe elementalist no crit version is the better version for new player), from the starting point go up the spell damage branch to Arcanist Dominion, then to Fire Walker (or Lightning Walker), then rush for Elemental Overload. After that probably go down to Disciple and Training/Holy Dominion.

These tips will get you to 30+ easily. Try incinerate periodically to see it feels, but again it doesn't really feel good until you get cast speed and AOE.
For ascendency points I would take MastermindOfDiscord then HeartOfDestruction (again AOE feels so good)

Edit: In anticipation of the next question, the first gear of the build I bought is Cereberus, along with some random shield that has 30% block (to activate the life leech).

Just a quick FYI.

I was able to download the 3.17 tree into POB using the beta testing option.

When converting our build into 3.17, there was no change in any numbers I could see (DPS, Life, ES and Armor all look the same).

We were expecting this but I think it is confirmed now that there are no tree changes that have changed the build.

I did the same. And I lost count of how many times I clicked "check for updates" Waiting to see the gem changes for accurate dps numbers. Lol

Great tips! I also bought Cerberus first due to how cheap it was. Aegis was 2nd for me.

I didn't see any notification of GGG releasing the 3.17 passive tree. Are there a list of 3.17 tree changes?

It was released late last week in the normal JSON file. POE Builder included the new tree immediately and POB has it in a beta build if you want to look.

I have not seen a list of any changes.
