[3.18 suspended] Blast from the Past. KB/PS Int Stack Wander King. Speed meta 18K ES, 20m+ dps

I’m fairly certain I am going to league start scion whispering ice as the chest, helm, boots, gloves and rings all carry over from a whispering ice char. But you can really progress through white to reds on nothing but a 6 socket staff + some t1 in roll trash gear.

I didn’t see it previously asked, why not a cyclopean coil with %strength and %int corruption?

Highest int is not the most important thing, a balanced approach is usually better.

Auxium exists for early game, which is quite close to endgame belts.

For lategame, Corrupted Coil has no ES and costs around 20ex.
any abyssal/crystal belt with +int and %all attributes usually performs better in a similar price range.

Hopefully WI is somewhat more playable with recent changes. I like the item (no surprise there), sadly i gave up on it since the startup animation of icestorm just makes it horrible.

I always thought a stygian of that grade would be more. I'll keep an eye on it before buying anything.

as you said hopefully they fixed the framerate issues with WI - i cant imagine they rework it graphically and its not a thousand times better. theyve been doing a really good job with graphics optimizations since they began outsourcing their graphic arts to china.

im really hyped to play Whispering ice till i have the currency to transition to this build. wish i didnt have to re roll from scion/templar to assasin. - ill do some theory crafting with some sort of shadow WI.

Pre - 3.12 Updates:

* Assassin Nerfs net 31% crit multi and 0.5 base crit. That is 5% less single target, around 7% less aoe dmg (only relevant in t16 full delirious).
24.5m dps /18.5k ES after nerfs

* New Mark skills nets 8% more dmg vs bosses.

* Bottled Faith + ZO might be used now, also scion version is closer to assassin.

* Haven't seen any good replicas or alt gems (other than K.Bolt) yet.

* Block version lost a bit block due to halved Bone offering.

Overall, every single build will be less powerful compared to harvest. Considering what happened to other Tier 1 builds, i will say we are in good shape.

Still looking forward to seeing new uniques/alt quality.

A note: i started with wander 2 leagues in a row and leveled to 100. This league i might not, i will still test things in std and level a toon later in heist

How viable would this be starting the league duoing with an aurabot? Just looking for something that will be strong enough to farm juiced maps with an aurabot duo without a huge initial investment, so that I can farm currency until we are able to do 100% delirious t15s. ty

I usually play one build per league. I want to play kinetic blast / power siphon this league as it looks absolutely badass.. I understand i need to league start with another skill until i save up the currency to successfully play Kinetic Blast.

But...

Im trying to weigh out my options , and pick between pathfinder and assassin. Does anybody here, maybe the original poster or another member that has played both build variants, have an idea of the pros of each build. I assume the pathfinder may be a quicker mapper, with more clearspeed, but the assassin may have more single target damage? Does this sound right? Is the single target DPS a significant increase, to persuade me enough to play the assassin ascendancy. Thanks in advance!

i answered a similar question on reddit :)

Int Stacking Wander have to be an Assassin. Ascendancy bonuses aside, if u go Ranger, you cannot avoid taking dexterity nodes. Which will differ a lot in the lategame.

Was thinking about starting with ED/C trickster and later switching to this build. At what point what you say is it safe to switch?

well the later, the better...

last league was around level 90, and had 30ex (give or take) when i converted.

Basically u want the wand, amulet (that's 2 woke orbs), and a decent body with ES so it will feel good. And get the best gear for other slots with remaining currency.

Do not forget to shop for cheap stuff while levelling like rings.
