Underrated horror movies?

I generally hate horror movies, but I kinda dug The Cabin in the Woods.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

The bonkers last act that the rest of the movie sets up is definitely something lol.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

Thank you sir that's one heck of a list and good ones. I have watched about half your list. Army of darkness series was indeed hilarious. "boom stick" I'll check the rest out.

I like more shock you to the bone than Jump Scares/comedy.

Trilogy of terror, Jeepers creepers, American gothic, etc.

Army of Darkness was equivelent to a loot box when I saw it. Me and my friends went to the Cinema without actually knowing what we were going to watch. We actually watched this film soley on the title ,no idea what type of film it was title just sounded interesting.Anyway suffice to say we didn't regret it.

I think Grave Encounters is a pretty good horror movie that hasn't been heard too much but should be recognized without question.
