the issue here is that we have 2 leagues in a row where they move away from the legion/blight chests rewards.. metamorph was a downgrade this new league basically kills the old but better system.

it's a straight downgrade.. how do you make such decisions? no idea and somehow they are claiming they are listening to feedback but this happens everey league..

This is worth a quote. I call it "streamer tuning" and it's ruining gaming. Blizzard added heroic mode to WoW in TBC because they said only a small percentage of players experienced the end game and they didn't think that made for a healthy game. Sound familiar?

With PoE I've played the first 50% of the game for hundreds of hours and never touched the second 50% of the game. It feels like a huge waste of content and I suspect it's due to balancing around streamers. It's the same mistake D3 made with the AH. Tuning drops around the AH was so important that it ruined the drop rates for almost everyone and sucked the fun out of the game. IMHO when mechanics and drop rates are tuned around the top few % of players, it's at the expense of everyone else.

One of my favorite things about Metamorph was that I was able to get more currency than normal and I actually got to experience the crafting system a little bit. It's SO fun, but I never get to use it because I don't play enough. IMO it's way more fun to use currency to make my own gear, but it's not practical for someone that doesn't play a ton.

"Farm and save currency and buy items" isn't fun, is it? Remember D3 where AoE pot breaking in the Royal Crypts over and over was the most efficient gold per hour? I don't want to play a game like that, so I wish some of the fun mechanics in PoE were a little more accessible.

I wish PoE had a bind-on-pickup mechanic. I'd buy the BoP version of all my stash tabs for it.
i mean yeah wahtever, some people find this league bullshit hard or whatever(im somehow fine with it, except i have to backtrack most of maps and i dont do this crap in anything higher then yellow tiers, and i dont combine it with anything else, since 0 fps) some are managing.
But,
U actually took a layer of shit optimized mechanics(legion obelisk pop, metamorph re-summon, syndicate intervention encounter) and mixed it with layer of shitty grey goo all over the screen with insane mob density.
Hate to say it but this isn't even close to saving this league would be nice to have back to back great leagues.

PS: Why do people always say thank you to these posts they make, in the comments? Don't get why your thanking them for doing nothing.

Yoooooooo but what about this bug with dual wielding swords?

Metamorph was in no way, shape or form a downgrade. In terms of visual clarity compared to those other two, sure. But in terms of core concept, absolutely not. I vastly prefer Metamorph to Legion. Metamorph, especially post organ-sucking, was a good league only brought down somewhat by GGG's long and questionable history of monochromatic color theming. Oh and Tane popping up uninvited.
