Thanks for replying PatGniak.
I guess I'll need to learn something about crafting in this game then, it doesn't seem a game that you can get by for long on drops alone. On the gems - thanks, found it - I was going by the fact that the guide says that Siosa and Lily Roth sell all purchasable gems in the game (in the "List of Gems in Order of Story Acquisition" section). Perhaps the guide needs a tweak. Using Vaal Skel and normal Skel - I only just realised that Vaal Skeleton gives both skills in one gem. Doh. " Yes, crafting is the most important thing to get good gear. Early on you can cheaply craft all the missing resistances on items (with the crafting bench in your hideout), later on you you will need a lot more currency to craft something from white item to a great rare item. It's a long, but rewarding process. At least for me, since I play solo self found exclusively and I can't just buy a good item from another person ^^ |

"Hey SpontaneousCombustion! I see this has already been responded to but I'll add one thing. Crafting has lots of options. There are many different ways to attempt better gear. Crafting is dependant on the currency you currently have. I BARELY craft anything while levelling. The hardest part about levelling is choosing between crappy gear with the sockets you want or gear with better mods that don't have the sockets you want. It a normal struggle to choose between. I would save your crafting currency for when you're closer to the endgame and only craft when you REALLY NEED while levelling. To answer your question directly, while levelling, just wait for a Rare to drop that has some decent resists on it. While levelling, those items will eventually come around. You'll just have to choose to play without the perfect sockets for a bit. I hope that helps. https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast

Thanks for this fantastic build! I've switched out the elemental army support for a Spectre gem because I can't live without them 😂. It looks like the supports are supporting both of them from what I can see so yay! Also just noticed that I forgot to switch out minion speed for fortify support (I was using ms until just now, had a pain getting enough stats but I think I'm good now - I have all the gems linked, set up and apparently working so yay again!)
Now it's just a matter of not overlevelling one of the linked gems (which I did three times with my duelist just by not checking what I was clicking grr) and then I'm good to go. |

"Hey Jaggedrain! I'm glad you're liking it! Thanks for the thanks! Good call on the spectres! That's a good switch. You gotta keep your favourites in! (And yes, all linked supports will work on all linked minions.) Let us know how things go! Thanks for the post! https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast

" Well, I'm joking with my friend that I've now switched over to the 'take a leisurely stroll through a field of corpses' style of gameplay :D |

Hry guys? what do you say about Earendel's Embrace Grinning Fetish for this build? Dont know how to attach it here). Skellies have Avatar of fire and cover enemies in ash? plus all minions get increased damage.

I'm having such a blast with my zombies and Molotov skellies, this is a great build Wrecker_of_Days, thanks so much again for sharing these!
However, I am starting to feel like a glass cannon once more. For one, my gear has way too little life, I am just at the threshold between leveling gear and mapping gear and the impending last Kitava fight isn't gonna help with my resists. Neither is having to pick up dexterity over resists/life. But more importantly, my CWDT skills do not go off! When I purchased the CWDT gems, they were level 3 and so I took care to get the enfeeble and ball lightning not over the lvl 42 requirement of the CWDT gem. Same with desecrate. I can't use the skills actively, doesn't that mean they cast automatically? Of course I have unlocked the Whispers of Doom node. What am I missing? I am heavily using the skellies as a direct damage spell, if I wouldn't, I'd be dead by the time the zombies take care of everything (and too slow in delirium fog). As a last resort I even use raging spirits against rares and bosses. I know they reduce the damage of the other minions, but sometimes I need to be killing them faster than they can kill me. So vaal summon skeletons aren't an option for me at this point, maybe later when the zombies have reached their full potential (I did level one a fair bit on the side). By the way, when I start the game I am now zombie-less as a rule, which was not like that in the very beginning. Something wrong on my end or did GGG "patch" that and does everyone else have that issue? Last edited by Elocara#5289 on Mar 22, 2020, 7:04:53 PM

" I just want to check, you're using the setup Wrecker showed on Page 1 right? Because with that setup, unless you overlevel Enfeeble so that it's NOT being cast by CWDT, it doesn't work. Enfeeble must be cast only by the CoH gem, so you can keep levelling both of those as long as enfeeble still works with COH. Basically, you want the CWDT to trigger Ball LIghtning ONLY. Ball Lightning then triggers the COH for Enfeeble. Also I'm not sure how often your CWDTs will be proccing at level 3 - you might want to get fresh ones at lvl 1 and then check that your other gems are not overlevelled now (I believe Lily in Act 6's gems are all lvl1) |
