[3.12] Hasunic's Toxic Rain / Caustic Arrow Trickster | Leaguestarter | Ailment Immunity | SSF

I think it's the wording of onslaught support. % Chance to get onslaught on killing blows. Killing someone with a dot doesn't justify a killing blow I presume, hence you still get on kill effects (like life on kill / life %), and you will also be able to proc the elusive.

I never use onslaught support with ca. I find it too hard to proc.

I didn't really bother with the onslaught support meta before...

I was pretty sure the elusive on kill works with dots as long as you do the killing (i.e. no totems, traps, mines or minions). I played CA last league with no TR and it procced no witnesses all the time, and pretty sure my direct arrow did Quinn's level of damage, so what was killing mobs was the dot.

Elusive on kills 100% works with dots. I was talking about Onslaught, I've tried a few lvling setups going onslaught early on (lvls 2-12ish), it kiinda works, weak mobs like skeletons can be killed by the arrow initial hit, specially if you grab a couple iron rings or a phys essence on your bow early.

Another way to proc is to link it with frostblink, but reaaally, I've tried, practiced the first acts a few times with it, and decided I won't even bother.

After act 1 it becomes increasingly harder to proc, so you should drop it anyway

That's because you don't make a killing blow. Onslaught on kill % abyss jewels works :)

Absolutely, and I find it almost mandatory for almost any build I do, lol.

I was referring to Ons. support on day-1 league starting mostly

The guy who made this guide switched from old TR buildguide to TR/CA guide. Did someone with more knowledge then me check this guide and found similarities or differences?

Thanks for checking this out.
I Think Vitranka are quite updated on all of the guides, lets wait for the answer from him/her. I don't like looking at other guides because I get biased.

good luck everyone tonight :)

Ehh... I wasn't really checking thoroughly what Typicaldemon changed, but he put summary of changes so if you look though that, it seems both builds are getting closer together, i.e. he says he'll drop Qotf in favour of rare chest, considers dropping vertex for rare hubris, crafting for ailment immunity on items, using CA in weapon swap, looking at his POB he still uses thread of hope for phase acro + 2 clusters, 1 with elegant form for ailment immunity. Went for wind dancer too and the elusive nodes. Has a life flask in his POB now, but no dying sun or witchfire atm, he says he swaps dying sun in for mapping. Went for some extra movespeed nodes, probably to offset dropping Qotf. Doesn't use curse on hit ring, but mentions it as an option in the section explaining dropping maloney's in favour of rare quiver.

But I dunno how did I become a build checker. >.> Like I got several pms with people asking me which guide to follow too. Just read them all and pick what you think suits you best.

All of the authors of the toxic rain trickster threads put great work into them and differences probably reflect their playstyle focus.
