Has it been announced in a previous video or in the forums? I can't find any official statement.. I've searched alot for such a thing and nothing

It is not a separate game. it is path of exile patch 4.0
Why would you suddenly not have access to your mtx

It was also confirmed several years ago so i'm not going to look for a link.

Hi, hard to check, but it has been confirmed several times as people say.

If you wanna check (you know we are lazy), best bet is video of Exilecon. Probably 2 hours video or something but it's there. Devs announced poe2 and other things and confirmed this mix thing, Chris just said that. You can search and check the video if you wish.

Watch the ExileCon POE2 trailer, and then listen for a minute or two as Chris Wilson explains what POE2 is and how it relates to the current game. It will become very evident to you that POE2 is not a new game where some things will transfer over from POE1 (and some things may not).

No, it's "One Game, Two Campaigns". Still the same POE, but with two campaigns and a shared endgame. He even explicitly states at one point "... all the microtransactions and stash tabs that you've purchased in the past will be fully usable ...".

And yes, Chris even refers to POE2 as "Path of Exile 4.0" many times.

What will happen to gems, characters and stuff from PoE 1 ?
All my builds will be able to play in standard ? We'll have 2 standard mode ? 1 for Poe 1 and one for Poe 2 ?

Now that POE1 & 2 are different games.... will MTX transfer?

I should probably stop buying MTX until there's a clear answer on this.

Yes, they said at Exilecon that it will transfer. Anything you bought in PoE1 will go to PoE2 as long as it exists, same goes for buying something in PoE2 to PoE1.

So for example, your armor MTX will be going, but if they for some reason remove Bane from PoE2 and you have Bane MTX, well, that MTX won't transfer.

I recall the word "all" being used with regards to MTXs transferring when PoE Too was first announced. Then, four years later, "plans changed," and now it won't be "all," anymore. Enough? Perhaps. But don't say all if it's not gonna be all. ='[.]'=
