I was messing with your POB and got this : https://pastebin.com/ycRbM0RK
I gave up some damage to get more chaos res and some defenses, still missing 30 Str so will need to get it from gear Last edited by ChaosMatusa on Oct 20, 2021, 7:09:34 AM

" Probably we can use it with large radius to obtain Lightning walker (gave me 1,2kk dps/8,9% overall) and Arcane focus (gave me 5% of total ES/456 ES). Also Static blows and Essence surge can be taken with less benefit, but sill an option. UPD. Using +5 str for each mastery in the Utmost intellect area covers our str requirements and picking Alacrity (+30 agi) gives us all we need without obtaining stats on gear. Preface:
I don't like to post an unpolished POB, but since so many are asking "POB POB POB", i'll post a temp one with the big fat underline that I'm still working on it and you should re-visit the guide on the day of release to make sure you have the latest POB. There are still tons of possibilities and so many things to explore and test. There are also still many things broken in POB, gems not updated, not reserving mana yet, some masteries not counting yet, etc etc. Also, with the mastery changes, players can now better customize more points according to their own preferences and what content they enjoy doing the most. TEMPORARY POB: https://pastebin.com/HK9ehnjn Changes: Main differences from 3.15 to 3.16 skill-tree: No glancing blows. No thread of hope. Less initial spellblock and much less attack block (spellblock will be our focus and it'll go up significantly when tempest gem works + ggg already said it'll be more readily available on gear) More ES. Much more ES regen. Fitted Artic Armour for nice phys% mitigation + being freeze immune. No glancing also means not taking 65% of the dmg from blocks. STR req from 111 to 85. Dex req will remain at 72. You have options of getting stats from utmost intellect mastery, but imo i'll rather get the stats on an item piece and grab the intellect bonus from utmost mastery. Dropped "born in the shadows" for explosives expert until further notice, since so far GGG hasn't done the "review on it" that they said they'll do, so it remains kind of useless for a non-evasion build right now. With the new reservation options, we're able to level clarity much higher which should make up for the loss of regen by not having mystic bulwark %reg per spellblock anymore. I've done a lot to make the tree make sense for starting out and I'm actually really glad that we will be able to roll without a thread of hope now as it's 1 less unique to chase in every league start and less taxing on the budget. Overall, using the identical gear as was used in the 3.15 POB, despite having lost some nodes on the tree and lost 2 jewel sockets (GGG really spaced these out a LOT), we've got similar damage, some masteries are still broken/not counting. Like if you pick the %chance for extra traps being thrown, it does nothing for the dps calc in POB etc. The thing is, this could swing both ways since its super hard to tell the end-game outcome until we get to really play/test these masteries and also the improved gearing. In general, there's a TON of possibilities and it WILL take actually playing the game and testing these many things to optimize fully what's best. Theory building:
Spoiler
I could see a world where ES + cap spellblock + some evasion could all work together. Stuff like sin-trek boots + jade flask + various es+evasion items. Might be something to test in the future depending how the whole new gearing works out, especially now that ghost dance is a keystone on the tree.
( Problem: Builds wanting to invest in both Evasion and Energy Shield rely heavily on Ghost Dance, requiring them to be a Trickster. Solution: Give everyone access to Ghost Dance as a Keystone Passive.)
Another theory idea is dropping shavs body armor, picking the 30% of chaos dmg does not bypass ES and picking the chaos wheel right near our main trap nodes for a ton of chaos ress combined with our +60 chaos ress from chayula. We'd still get hit by 70% of the chaos dmg, but with chaos ress cap and potentially being able to run our life at 30-40%'ish (to still benefit from Pain Attunement) with added reservation gear and life reservation mastery, I could see a place where it could be extremely fun building around an actual rare vaal bodyarmor with spellcrit%, 700ES+ and all kinds of juicy stuff as opposed to the same old shavs;) Again, these are theories and fun stuff in my head, not anything i'm suggesting for the guide or saying would work, so don't do it and hate me after :D Last edited by oestergreen on Oct 20, 2021, 1:31:05 PM

How does this build handle phys damage? The few Shavs/ES builds I’ve played have gotten molly whopped by elder slams and other high damage phys attacks even with 8k ES.

hurry :D

How much of a negative impact do you think the loss of block is going to be to survivability?
| |
Where is your block chance? Maybe less damage but more block is better? I got 12.5kk total damage with a 75 / 75 block.

" They are re-working shields so in general it'll be easier to hit block stats + the stats themselves are higher than before. https://i.imgur.com/IIlKnWr.png |

Some of the specifics will have to wait till after the first week or two and we start seeing what the mods on stuff are I guess.
Personally if damage is HIGHER then it is before I might personally tweak it and drop some more damage for more defense, but its also gonna depend on how gear has changed as well and what's available. So many variables its mind boggling this league with everything that has changed | |
Curious to see what the results are coming out to. Lot of changes to the survivability options of the build.
Seems like a lot of flexibility per player to change it as they see fit to gain what they so choose. Thoughts? |
