Yes, you can run the lab really easy actually. Get a healing potion and turn off any aura that runs on your life. When you fight the boss, just turn it on and delete him.
Enjoying this build so far. It definitely has some power spikes, and falls back off again until you get more gear. There are parts of the skill tree that are just long pathing with little immediate gain. Honestly, had I not switched to trade league it wouldn't feel nearly as well, definitely a hard SSF build. Also playing HC so definitely trying to build more defensively and wait before switching to CI/lowlife.

Quick question as I hurt for skill points to get to the Sanctuary nodes--when and why do we drop Saboteur passive? 30% increased trap damage and +2 additional traps sounds pretty good no matter what stage of the build we're at.

Hey mate

Yes sadly that's the style of POE, the long pathing to reach what is required to function:) However it does end up paying off in spades. This league in particular is rough on everyone though, a little less so on trappers, but still it's a nerf league.

I have a few buddies using the build in HC, I'd say stick to life until you can get a decent chunk of ES gear then go CI, it's even safer than life imo, as chaos damage is always a nasty thing and wonderful to be immune against, plus it lets you build out your gear set with ES parts while working on currency for a shavs.

Saboteur node while seeming nice can sadly not compete with a jewel socket, not even close. An increase% doesn't come close to a multiplier (or multiple multipliers) that jewel slots offer. And that's what it's competing for when you reach higher levels and it's why we don't take it (or some take it during leveling, but then drop it later at like 85+ or when you star getting your jewel sockets).

In HC i'd just focus on drawing full advantage of our blind and regen ascendancies, always staying out of reach to monster packs and off-screening everything as much as possible. In SSF people tend to farm the prophecy cards for shavs, but honestly it's still a b**** to farm in SSF, but CI can carry you very far if you got decent gear on the other slots, especially a decent weapon of course and shield with high ES. Also, you can force-craft an ES shield with recovery es% on block, for 2ex, so that's nice for SSF.

Goodluck mate :)

Hey oestergreen, I asked before about my POB showing extra uncapped res when its not the case, any idea why? also how do I make my spell block hit 75% aswell? so far only my block is 75%
Skill if fun to use, but the amount of times i died ... i hit bricked wall, with 1,2k life and 4k ES i still feel super squishy. Even blue white maps are the problem so cant farm money efficiently. Maybe this game isnt for me.

Do you have Pyromancer ascendancy? It was a game changer for me.

4K ES is pretty low for maps, Im currently running with 7K ES and technically even that is still too low (I think 10k+ feels smooth). Keep in mind that ES scales much easier than Life which means that a 4K ES pool is equivalent to a much lower Life pool.
That being said, your biggest source of ES is a shield with high ES (~300+ ES, even if it doesnt have other good mods) or the chayulas presence amulet.
Overall I'd say this build needs more gear to have reasonable tankyness so whenever you can you should get high ES on every piece of gear.
Also chill/freeze immunity works a charm so get that as soon as you can (with boots or a dream fragments e.g.)

Hi there, if you have 1.2k life it's basically nothing. There are a lot of things that skip Energy Shield so you are oneshotted (unless you have Shavs). Go CI and you will see a big difference in survival. Get 5k-6k of ES, a good shield and you will see it's much much easier.

Additional res come probably from wise oak, just guessing, I didn't check the PoB.

Spell block; u need a spell block chance on your shield to reach 74,if you don't have that you eigher use rumis and 2 additional small nodes under the spell block notable in the witch area or you just live with having around 65.

You could check all of that very easy by yourself with the calculation tab im pob and clicking on the mods in question to see where they are coming from
